QUILT ASSEMBLYRefer to quilt photo for placement of fabrics and blocks.

Star BlockThese instructions are to make 1 block. Refer to the quilt photo for piece placement as each block is a different combination of fabrics. Sew 2 blue floral or green dots 2½” squares and 2 pink floral 2½” squares together to create the Center Four-Patch.

Sew a blue floral or green dots 2½” square and a pink floral 2½” square to each side of a 2½” x 4½” white floral rectangle to create Unit A. Repeat to make 2 Unit A’s.

Sew a 2½” x 4½” white floral rectangle to each side of the Center Four-Patch to create Unit B. Sew a Unit A to the top and bottom of Unit B to create the Center Unit.

Sew 2 blue floral or green dots 2½” squares and 2 white floral 2½” squares together to create a blue floral or green dots Corner Four-Patch. Repeat to make 2 blue floral or green dots Corner Four-Patches. Sew 2 pink floral 2½” squares and 2 white floral 2½” squares together to create a pink floral Corner Four-Patch. Repeat to make 2 pink floral Corner Four-Patches.

Draw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side of an assorted print 4½” square. Place the assorted print square in the corner of a white floral 4½” x 8½” rectangle and sew on the line. Leave a ¼” seam allowance and trim excess. Press. Repeat on the other side of the rectangle. This will make 1 Flying Geese Unit. Repeat to make 4 Flying Geese Units. Sew a Flying Geese Unit to each side of the Center Unit. Sew a Corner Four-Patch to each side of the 2 remaining Flying Geese Units. Sew the 3 rows together to complete the Star Block. Repeat to make 4 Star Blocks.

Posts and SashingRefer to quilt photo for post placement. Sew a navy floral 1½” square to a gray dots 1½ x 16½” rectangle. Repeat to make a row with 3 square posts and 2 sashing rectangles. Make 3 rows labeled A.

Sashing and BlocksRefer to quilt photo for block placement. Sew a gray dots 1½ x 16½” rectangle to a Star Block. Repeat to make a row with 3 sashing rectangles and 2 blocks. Make 2 rows labeled B.

Quilt Center AssemblySee quilt photo for row placement. Lay out rows A and B. Sew rows together to complete the center of the quilt.

Borders Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary to get the length needed. Sew side borders first.

Border 1Side borders should be 35½”. Top and bottom borders should be 39½”.

Border 2Side borders should be 39½”. Top and bottom borders should be 49½”.

Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Enchant Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
