Starting May 2019 in the Nordic Countries In the frame of Tarab Institute Sweden, Finland and Denmark

Unity in Duality is of Indo-Tibetan origin. The originator, Tarab Tulku Rinpoche, came from Tibet 1962 and lived in Denmark for four decades. Here he observed the Western way of life and extracted and “translated” es-sential content of Buddhism – in particular from its aca-demic tradition: Buddhist Inner-Science – and presented it in a way fitting modern context – beyond cultural and religious boundaries. He named his programme Unity in Duality.Lene Handberg, assisted him extensively and now teaches the Unity in Duality program worldwide.

This Nordic 4-year Unity in Duality (UD) programme (Courses comprises 3 separate weeks yearly in DK + 2 extra weekends locally) opens up possibilities to under-stand, explore and experience step by step the nature of our different types of perception and corresponding realities in their mutual interrelationships.

The maps of body-mind and reality – a part of the philo-sophical text material, which Buddhist scholars and its yogis/yoginies have developed and refined over millen-nia – are used as the basis of UD.

In this way we can recognize our different body, mind and reality interrelated structures and learn how to use these consciously in our daily lives, to bring us into healthier states for supporting our relationships to self and others.

Applied Philosophy Tarab Tulku Rinpoche

Philosophical and spiritual investigative practices are a central concern of Buddhism, albeit it’s origin goes be-yond Buddhism. The Socratic saying, “Know thyself”, aims in just this direction too. Tarab Tulku called this accumulation of insight he refers to for “ancient hu-man knowledge”, which he wanted to make available for humanity at large beyond cultural and religious boundaries.

This reference material rely on accumulated insight into interrelated nature of existence (tendrel). Unity in Duality especially emphasizes the interrelation of sub-ject and object; body and mind; and matter and energy (potential-field) as the essential paradigm underlying the unfoldment of our reality, showing how we individ-ually participate in this, and presents the guidelines by which we could change and transform our condition.

Unity in Duality combines the study and understand-ing by defining a map of the body, mind and reality interrelationships with practical participation in the actual journey, investigating our world, which no book can convey.

The courses are aimed at everyone who has a serious interest in studying and understanding the body, mind and reality interrelationships and who accepts the responsibility for their own reality and aims at devel-oping a high inner ethical code of conduct.

In particular, UD addresses professions that involve near relationships with other persons, clients, patients, groups of individuals as well as everybody who is caring about their personal relationships. The Philo-sophical understanding and Art of Relating is a serious focus of attention throughout.

Tarab Tulku Rinpoche, Tibetan scholar (Lharampa Geshe) and Lama, Research Libra-rian at the Royal Library and Lecturer at Copen-hagen University (1962-2004), is the originator of Unity in Duality (UD). He extracted the universalities of Ancient Indian Inner-Science of Mind and Phenomena and their interrelationships (tendrel) and made them available to modern man in theory and practice. He coined the interrelationships of Subject–Object, Body–Mind and Energy (Potential Field)–Matter as the bearings of reality, i.e. of our functioning and development; the basic tenets of UD.
