Extend pupil learning over the summer holidays

to make their world bigger this summer with Discovery Education.

Introducing the Video Zone: All of the video clips featured in the competition are from Discovery Education Espresso's Video Zone - a new
area intended for self-guided learning, aimed at Key Stage 2 pupils. Featuring spectacular video clips from Discovery channels like Animal
Planet and Discovery Science, the zone is intended to inspire pupils with awe, wonder and curiosity about the world around them.
About the competition: From Discovery VR headsets, telescopes, butterfly gardens and space shuttles to card games and volcano making
kits, they’re all in this huge goody bag worth £100. The prize draw is open to pupils aged between five and eleven years old attending a UK
based primary school. The quiz questions are aimed at Key Stage 2 pupils, however all primary children are invited to play along.

The MBB Bo 105 is the king of the helicopters – it can pull off amazing
stunts that only a few daredevil pilots are brave enough to attempt.

Meet the Emperor dragonfly, which has four unusual wings – each

backwards and even sideways. The dragonfly must not hit the water
otherwise it is all over for this colourful insect, but only one Emperor
can rule. And they must keep out of sight from the hobby bird too!

The Bailong Elevator in China carries people 326 metres up a sheer cliff
face and makes 100 trips a day. Hair raising! To keep up with demand,
the three lifts need an upgrade so they can go faster and carry more
people. With the first journey due very soon, mechanical engineer Ben
Williams is the man to lead this vital job. If he succeeds the outdoor lift
will be much bigger and more powerful than any other on the planet.
