state lawmakers are considering it.

Cons:
• It could send a bad message to students
• Concealed handguns could increase crime
• More likely to use handgun on confrontation
• Criminals could still attack even if teachers are allowed the option
• Concealed handguns may make the ones who don’t carry feel unsafe

Pros:
• Necessary self-defense
• Concealed handguns can reduce crime
• Teachers may feel more safe
• Most who use guns are law-abiding
• Can help stop school shooting
• The right training can be provided

While all the time it takes for law enforcement to get there, if a teacher is carrying a concealed weapon, they could have taken action if necessary.
