Procedure Divide the class into groups of four and give each group a set of cards. Ask the students to shuffle the cards and place them face down in a pile on the desk. Demonstrate the game by picking up one of the picture cards and showing it to the class. Ask the students to make present simple passive sentences to describe the object. Write the students' ideas on the board. For example, if you picked up the picture of the dictionary, the students might say: It's made from paper. It's used in the classroom. It's bought by someone learning a language. It's used to find the meanings of words, etc. Explain that when the students describe an object, they must use the pronouns: it, they, this or these. Students then take it in turns to turn over a card and describe the object to the other students in the group using the present simple passive. The first student to guess the object wins the card. The student with the most cards at the end of the game wins.
