DREAM DESIGN
APPLY
This sounds too good to be true. How can I design my own summer learning experience?
• Reflect on your teaching: What are your strenghts and challenges?
• Think about your students and their needs: What would spark their learning?
• Create your guiding questions: What do you want to learn? What passion inspires you? What need challenges you?
• Think outside the box: How and where is the best place to learn it?
• Research your options: Find experts; talk to your students and their parents; explore destinations.
• Collaborate with peers, school leaders, local organizations, and international partners to extend the impact of yourlearning.
• Make connections: How will you bring your learning back to your classroom, school and community?
The application is completed online in three parts: Coversheet, proposal, and itemized budget.

Fund for Teachers invites you to design a summer learning experience that will transform your classroom. Craft an odyssey that brings out the scholar, explorer, scientist or artist in you - and then, your students.
Ask yourself:• If I could gain one quality or ability that would
help my teaching, what would it be?
• What could I do that would change my students'learning experience?
• Where would I study?
• What could I bring back to my classroom?
