Dayanara R. Pedrezuela BEEd-II Teaching Philosophy “One machine can do work of fifty ordinary men. But no machine can do work of one extraordinary man” – Elbert Hubbard. In our present time, we can’t deny that most of the thing, can be done by the technology. A question can be answer with just a blink of an eye. The impossible things can be possible by means of technology. And even in terms of teaching, they say that as time goes by, technology can replace teacher. By using high and modernized gadgets like robots, they will just program the lessons in it and then viola! You can have an alternative teacher. As a future teacher, I believe that technology is just a tool. A tool that we can use to widen our knowledge and a tool that can help us to make learning becomes easier(by using PowerPoint presentations and multimedia). It will never replace a teacher, because teachers do have a unique characteristics that computer don’t have. As a teacher, we should and must do three things: instruct, guide and teach the students with all our heart. Instructing the students is not as easy as 1, 2, 3. It is not just you told them once and they will understand what you want to imply to them. I believe that every individual have their own differences. They think differently, act differently and follow differently. As a manager of your office, the classroom, we should instruct clearly and easy to understand. So at the end of the day, the learners will know and understand how and what to follow.

Dayanara R. PedrezuelaBEEd-IITeaching PhilosophyOne machine can do work of fifty ordinary men. But no machine can do work of one extraordinary man Elbert Hubbard. In our present time, we cant deny that most of the thing, can be done by the technology. It will never replace a teacher, because teachers do have a unique characteristics that computer dont have. For me there is no such thing as blank mind. Each of us, specially our students, already has prior knowledge in something, because of our different experiences. Our work as a teacher is to guide them how to explore this knowledge. By adding and supplying new ideas and information, it will strengthen that schema and can lead to other new learnings.Teaching is not just teaching what is in the book, but rather, teaching is teaching how to learn. In our life, sometimes we are just swallowing all the details and information that we encounter, without thinking whether it is essential or not. Then we will realize that that information is not important when its too late. We as a teacher must allow them to explore every detail, chop and pick the important one. Give them a hint on how to strategize. And the most important is teach with your heart. By these you are teaching your student how to learn. We cant deny that technology is very important in education, but we cant change the fact that if theres no teacher, there is no heart in education. My philosophy in teaching is to instruct, to guide and to teach by our heart. By these, I could bring a heart in education.
