We believe education is a sustainable personal development that empowers people to ultimately

improve socioeconomic conditions for their families, communities, countries and the future

generations. If we can ensure literacy for all, we can build a better tomorrow. Through this project,

we would like to unleash the power of modern technologies to intervene in the lives of millions who

are deprived of the bliss of education. Through the opportunities that only education can provide, we

strive to break the malicious cycle of socio-economic disasters across the globe, one person at a

    time.

We are trying to ensure primary education for everyone through the effective application of selective technologies

    2. What is your proposed Solution to the problem? Respond in less than 100 words.

We are aiming at building a set of interactive Windows Phone 7 applications with necessary additions (eg. web site, mobileweb version, download center etc) which are going to contribute to a better and effective education system for the masspeople. Children and the adults will receive proper primary edutainment in a participating manner through various levels ofinteraction with the phone. The applications will be fun to use, responsive enough to awaken the desire for knowledge and thecontents will be synced with a standard syllabus of primary education.

    3. Who will be the potential Users of your software application?

List the specific set of users who will be most likely to use your solution.

Have you conducted any surveys or trials with potential users? If yes, provide details.

    School going kids

Adults enrolled in the different adult literacy programs

Indirectly parents and mentors will be using to conduct interactive classes or the evaluation of the learners

    4. What is your proposed software Architecture?

The text should clearly indicate how the Required and Optional Elements have been used.

    Also, include diagrams.

To be eligible, your entry must meet the following content and technical requirements. Please refer to the Terms andConditions document:

The software is intended to be built on the Windows Phone 7 platform. We would like to choose the Silverlight APIs with C# forgeneric development. Some more complex portions might integrate XNA based interactions. In a later phase, we have plannedto distribute the contents in downloadable packages served from a cloud CDN.

    5. Explain why you think this solution has the potential to be deployed in real-life.

Provide details about how your solution can be technically and economically viable.

In Bangladesh there have already been experiments on digital education system by providing cheap netbooks to school goingkids. The efforts have apparently seen enormous success. The Windows Phone 7 devices are expected to be cheaper than anaverage netbook and offer a wide range of options for interaction. The large touch screen, built-in camera and microphone, accelerometer, GPS and other added features could make lessons even more interactive and attractive for the kids.

In today's circumstances, Windows Phone 7 based interactive primary education can both attract the kids and provideappropriate edutainment while keeping the project costs lesser than other available options.
