A team leader/supervisor is a first line management role, with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. They provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals.

Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same whatever the role.

Key responsibilities are likely to include supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships internally and externally. Roles may include: Supervisor, Team Leader, Project Officer, Shift Supervisor, Foreperson, and Shift Manager.

This programme is aimed at team leaders, supervisors and new managers who would like to study to gain operational management qualifications specifically tailored to the Crowd Safety Management industry.

How is this programme delivered?

Will I have a mentor or assessor?

This programme is delivered through a blend of workshops\master classes and eLearning via the learner’s individual electronic portfolio. The electronic portfolio allows full tracking of the learner’s progress by utilising brand new technology that resembles a popular online streaming service many users will already be familiar with. All learning is stored electronically in an ePortfolio, which as a manager you would have reporting access logins. This enables you to track the progress of your staff.

Learners are required to attend 4 out of 5 two-day workshops (per year) at a central England location. Assignments and portfolio work will be set at each workshop for completion off the job and submitted via the electronic portfolio and online learning environment.

Our learning development coaches are all industry practitioners and operate at the highest level of management world-wide. You will be assigned a coach during induction; this person will mentor you through the programme.
