I hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the New Year so far. Many of us have set goals and resolutions, things we want to accomplish over the next twelve months. Better health and saving more money are a few of the more popular New Year’s resolutions. Perhaps buying or selling a home is yours? The 2012 real estate market has shown positive signs of improvement and most areas have experienced an increase in property values. The average sales price of a home sold in Maricopa County was $202,948 – this is up $40,000 from the average sales price in 2011. All reports indicate that 2013 will continue this rising trend in property values, thus creating more stabilization and increased consumer confidence in real estate as a smart investment. In the 4th quarter of 2012 the landscaped changed for homeowners who had previously been underwater with their property values. Those homeowners now have equity and they are coming back into the market place to sell their homes. We anticipate that the low inventory challenges our market had experienced in 2012 will level out with more traditional sellers able to now sell their homes. In addition to the available equity for homeowners, new home builders have a renewed interest in the real estate market. With the increasing demands of home buyers coming into the market, new homes are an essential key to further market stabilization. If you are interested in a new home, my team and I can help you. It’s hard to believe that it is already the year 2013! I hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the New Year so far. The 2012 real estate market has shown positive signs of improvement and most areas have experienced an increase in property values. The average sales price of a home sold in Maricopa County was $202,948 – this is up $40,000 from the average sales price in 2011. All reports indicate that 2013 will continue this rising trend in property values, thus creating more stabilization and increased consumer confidence in real estate as a smart investment.
