Build cross-disciplinary teams that have shared responsibility for success and that have a sense of belonging.

Place career mentorship at the heart of our scientific endeavour.

Recognise and reward for their contributions irrespectiveof their rank and seniority.

Create opportunities and enable aspiration, make everyone feel there is no glass ceiling.

Closing thoughts……….

The increasing complexity and cross-disciplinary nature of research demands Team Science.

Team Science will deliver optimally when ALL team members enjoy parity of esteem and equal opportunities for training, career progression and recognition and reward for their contributions.

Technical scientists are the foundation of research enterprise and its success in universities.

Opportunity and Recognition are key to wellbeing in a scientific career and must be embedded in technical career pathways.

EDI principles should be at the core of Team Science and encourage career flexibility and diversity of career pathways

If you achieve success, be a good role model and care for the aspirations of your colleagues.
