team update #1

1
This weekend I was very proud of my girls! We contemplated playing in the U16 age group because of the caliber of teams in the tournament, but decided to take on the challenge. We played a few really good 16U teams; FBC Southeast Elite and WP Lady Celtics Black. We went 5-0 in the tournament and won the championship! Kaela Davis was MVP of the tournament and played very well while providing great leadership. Victoria Carter, our latest addition, was very solid all weekend and showed great skill at both ends of the floor. Alexis and Ashley were very consistent and provided a scoring threat as well as defending the perimeter. Kristina, Mackenzie and Brianna fought hard all weekend on the boards and defending bigger and stronger post players. Our reserves, Kelsey, Peyton and Breanna provided great support while playing and continue to improve every weekend. Overall, it was a great weekend and we grew as a team! We will be in Mason, Ohio for Memorial Day Weekend participating in the Kings Island Tournament. We will have 2 new players with us in Ohio, Gisele Bailey and Shannon Hines from North Carolina.
