Staff Absence
Please ensure that you have received the staff absence procedure from Wayne Askham
Contacting Parents It is the staff team’s responsibility to contact parents (Namely the class
teacher). It is always good to ring in the first week to introduce yourself to
parents/carers and update them of their child’s progress. However, it is
also important to speak to your line manager before doing so as there
may be issues that you are unaware of and that need to be dealt with
through safeguarding or SLT.
Letters Home Any letters that are sent home from SLT and other key members of staff
should be available in the Team Hub.
If you are sending letters home it is important that these are first sent to
your line manager to check over. Once the letter has been checked this
will need to be forwarded to a member of staff in admin who will place
this on to the school letterhead and ensure these are put into the
transport files to give to parents.

two dinner duties.
Support staff undertake 4 breaks and 5 lunchtime duties per week and
