1. What's New in AIG• Any previous version of AIG cannot be updated to version 19.1 due to massive changes regarding the

installation, initialization and handling of sensitive information. For instructions on how to migratedata of previous installations (e.g. mapping) to the new version, refer to the Active Integration -Migration Guide.

• The installation of AIG and its components is now done using Deployment Center. For detailedinstructions, see in the Active Integration - Installation Guide.

• All communication of Basic Gateway Service and Gateway Service needs to be authenticated. Thisrequires the completion of a new initialization process. For the sake of security, read the sectionInitializing AIG in the Active Integration - Installation Guide very carefully before starting AIG forthe first time.

• To enhance security and respect all access rights, the features to edit job code or upload files in theBGS Admin UI has been removed.

• Security has been improved to protect data against unauthorized access. Therefore, credentials toconnect to any external enterprise application are no longer stored in the mapping directly, butmanaged by the Basic Gateway Service centrally. Consequently, all credentials required to process themapping have to be stored previously using scripts.

• Using TLS with AIG is now more comfortable, as the needed libraries are now used by default, i.e., thelibraries do no longer have to be renamed before configuring TLS.

• Credentials of AIG users imported from and verifying against an LDAP can now be used for anyauthentication in the BGS or GS, not only for the Admin UI login.

• The access to log files can now be restricted depending on the AIG role of the user.

• Several minor bugfixes to enhance stability and performance.

2. What's New in T4EA• Web services provided by Active Integration Gateway do a stricter URL matching. Before Active

Integration Gateway 18.2 a service published with URL extension /pxml/myservice has also beentriggered for the URL /pxml/myservicewithsomeextension. For 19.1 on the service will nolonger be triggered for the second URL and may cause a 404 error. In order to emulate the oldbehaviour wildcards may be used. See T4EA PXML server (T4EA provides a service) in ActiveIntegration - Connectivity Guide
