Create a full outline of what is

trying to be accomplished.

Don’t just stop at one question, find

a full understanding

between the whole teams thoughts.

Page 3: Teamwork vs. Mediocrity

Using full understanding to your advantage, through compromise in the team discussions . Going into a project with an aggressive attitude to make the project successful comes from having order and “shifts” that have to be accomplished.

The lack of tactics or a game plan cause nothing but chaos. It would be like a chicken without the head. Without tactics teamwork would be unorganized. You wouldn’t run a company without specific roles would you?

“Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”

A team has to share a common goal in order to achieve greatness. When everyone understands the ending goal the whole team benefits. Every team has a great leader, there for every leader has a great team. When the confidence of the team is boosted by achieving the end result will strive.

If you allow mediocrity in your team and let your emotions get in the way of the bigger picture, the end result will fail standards. If the team lacks unity and each individual has separate goals you won’t benefit as a whole. The biggest problem a team could have is having separate goals rather than accomplishing one main goal together.

Mix It UpStrive for the most creative and successful work ethic. Go above and beyond expectations and use tactics that’s aren’t commonly used. Grab your peers attention with colors other than the norm of black and white. -Have something distinct that separates you from the other teams.

The lack of creativity may not bring you down as far as an individual and those that you work with. Although the lack of creativity will bring down the end result of your project. In order to wow your audience thinking outside the box, it will boost all sorts of levels including the confidence and pride in the work.

“The leaders who work most effectively, it seems to me, never say "I." And that's not because they have trained themselves not to say "I." They don't think "I." They think "we"; they think "team." They understand their job to be to make the team function. They accept responsibility and don't sidestep it, but "we" gets the credit. This is what creates trust, what enables you to get the task done.” –Peter F. Drucker

We all strongly agree that confidence is wisdom. So in showing confidence in your work you will make wise decisions about what you can make of it. Believing in your team and the capabilities of the team together, will push your team to work harder together making a stronger team as a whole. The team must show wisdom as a whole, one person can not be left out because the product of whatever you are doing effects the whole team.

Wisdom: ability to discern or judge what is true, right, or lasting; insight.

Excellence in Wisdom

Page 8: Teamwork vs. Mediocrity

“Meditation brings wisdom; lack of mediation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom.”

-Buddha

When you lack confidence you will definitely lack the ability of making wise decisions. Showing wisdom in yourself will show that you know the path you are supposed to be on and that you will not let something hold you back. So as a team you must all expect to excel in whatever you are doing. Because, if you are not expecting to excel the chances of you being successful are not as likely. Leading you and your team into an ocean of mediocrity. Don’t give up before you ever start, that is the ultimate failure. Keep faith and confidence in your team and this should stray you from mediocrity.

Lack of Wisdom Leads to Mediocrity

Opportunity

Using the opportunity to work together as a team will broaden your thinking and expand your personal expectations by getting outside the box. By using opportunity in teamwork let it benefit your group so that your able to get your full point across in a timely manner. Most importantly use opportunity as a learning experience by listening, communicating and participating. These examples will be to the teams advantage for future projects.

Allowing mediocrity in the team by not using the time given for the project you waste opportunities. Not using your time wisely would in the end mean that your presentation will fall short of excellent, by slacking the chances of you making your project having and educational value will be slim to none because of the lack of time put into the ending result. Wasting an opportunity to work with team members will not be to an individual advantage and will not help you reach real world expectations.

Vs.

Page 10: Teamwork vs. Mediocrity

Keeping Realistic goals give the team more of chance at achieving the ending goal successfully. Having a clear understanding of what is really being asked of the project is the most important part of having realism as a team. Excellence will follow when the team knows the limits, expectations, and boundaries.

Realistic Not being able to see the end, or having the lack of realism will show mediocrity through your presentation due the group being on “different pages.” Mediocrity will be present if you don’t follow through as a whole and become aware of standards. Lacking realistic points of view will damage a team.

Knowledge

Knowledge – The accumulation of facts through observing, learning, and questioning

Being full of knowledge is beneficial when creating ideas with team members. It is a crucial when working in a group because having facts will construct a good argument. Knowledge is definitely the foundation of all existence, it must be known in order to achieve in anything.

How can knowledge effect your team negatively? If your team members have knowledge and are not aware of how to affectively use it to the teams advantage is a possibility. Another example of a negative result is false knowledge, or “smarts” that could turn into false statements and cause an argument when presenting. Unproven statements will definitely cause the whole team to look bad.
