How to use Cat Diesel Fuel System Cleaner
• One bottle containing 0.946L (32 oz.) of Cat Diesel Fuel Systems Cleaner treats 250 L (65 gal) of fuel. This corresponds to a treat rate of 0.4% by volume.
• Pour Cat Diesel Fuel System Cleaner directly into the fuel tank then refill with fuel.
The fuel refilling process will ensure proper mixing of the cleaner. The cleaner will begin to work immediately.
Testing has shown most deposits are removed, and related issues are resolved after 30 hours of operating the engine with the Cat Diesel Fuel System Cleaner mixture. For maximum results, continue to use Cat Diesel Fuel System Cleaner for up to 80 hours of operation.

Note: The HEUI Hotline is limited to North American Market Availability at this time. Caterpillar is introducing a HEUI Hotline. The number for the HEUI Hotline is 1-815-842-5000. The HEUI Hotline is restricted to C7 Engines and C9 Engines. The HEUI Hotline is available to all Caterpillar dealers. The HEUI Hotline is also available to all dealers of Truck Engine Parts and Service (TEPS). The HEUI Hotline is available from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (CST) Monday through Friday. The HEUI Hotline is not intended to replace normal troubleshooting procedures. Follow the troubleshooting guides and involve your technical communicators, if necessary. TEPS dealers should involve the technical staff of the local Caterpillar dealer before calling the HEUI Hotline. Call the HEUI Hotline for additional troubleshooting advice. Call the HEUI Hotline when the dealer is at the point of replacing a component of the HEUI. The HEUI Hotline offers technical assistance and tips for advanced troubleshooting. The Caterpillar HEUI Phone Analyst may issue a HEUI Authorization Number for a faulty component of the HEUI. Obtaining a HEUI Authorization Number prior to replacing the HEUI will guarantee full warranty coverage on the replaced HEUI. The Send It Back system will issue a request for the return of parts for every warranty claim against the part number of a component of the HEUI. Please include the HEUI Authorization Number in the report of the warranty claim. Ensure that the HEUI Authorization Number is included in the field for comments of the request for the return of parts. Ship the component and the request for the return of parts to the Caterpillar Engineering Claims Room. A component of the HEUI that tests "GOOD" after being returned to Caterpillar without a HEUI Authorization Number will not be considered for a warranty claim. A component of the HEUI will be considered faulty if the component does not test "GOOD". A component of the HEUI without a HEUI Authorization Number that successfully completes performance testing after being returned to Caterpillar will not be considered for warranty coverage. The official state date for the HEUI Hotline is 15May 2009. All replacements of the HEUI that are performed after 15May 2009 are subject to the conditions of the HEUI Hotline program
