Tech4agri: the Webseries Hello Tomorrow Challenge Application
What is the problem?
1. Need for improved accessibility to agri-
related information
2. Lack of a stable support system for agriyouth
3. A generally negative perception of
agriculture
4. On the international stage, limited
information is available concerning
Caribbean agricultural endeavours
The Solution
Tech4Agri proposes to create an online video series, innovatively created using mobile and drone journalism made by youth for youth in
agriculture, acting as an information source and transforming the overall outlook of the
agricultural sector.
Use of Technology
Mobile journalism is an emerging form of new media storytelling where reporters use portable
electronic devices with network connectivity to gather, edit and distribute news from his or her
community.
Drone journalism is the use of drones, or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), for journalistic
purposes.
