SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

1-SYSTEM OVERVIEW AND SERVICE

The HO-SY System handles every kind of service in the hotel.

The different graphic representations the software handles, are adapted to the client needs according to their use, and they are divided in three different sectors:

HOTEL HOSPITAL HOME The following description is related to the HOTEL sector.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HO-SY can be subdivided into two practically identical systems that differ only for the selected access typology in the rooms

-ELECTRONIC CARD ACCESS

The electric door lock is activated through a chip-card type.

Special devices in the room will allow to: -activate the electric services and the air-conditioning system -signal the guest’s presence or the service staff presence (also specifying their personal particulars)

-ELECTRICAL KEY ACCESS

The panel key at the reception is equipped with special devices signalling to the handling PC the key removal from the panel.

With this action the PC activates the electric services and the air conditioning in the room. The staff presence in the room (anonymous personal particulars)is signalled through a special control panel with the insertion of an apposite service electrical key. This typology has a variation (called Key panel LED) which is a particularly useful in the structures where the Check-in and Check-out operations must be very quick, free from the guest’s data immediate entry.

HO-SY was realized with the method of distributed intelligence, that is the central PC informs and receives data from a series of peripheral units equipped with a microprocessor. This solution allows, in case of PC breakage, or in case of connection BUS breakage, the local running continuation according to the last data received from PC. The communication among the different units and the central PC occurs though Polling, the PC calls sequentially all the units and waits for their answer. HO-SY system consists of 4 units: 1-Central unit of Handing 2-Handing peripheral unit and data interface 3-Data transmission BUS 4-Room equipment

1-HANDLING CENTRAL UNIT(UCG) It is composed by a Personal Computer, complete with monitor, keyboard and mouse, a handling software and one or more RS485 interfaces. The unit is complete with modem and teleassistance software.

2-HANDSHAKING PERIPHERAL UNIT

This unit supervises the peripheral and UCG information exchange.

The microprocessor installed on the edge, according to the installed firmware, makes the following functions execution:

A-Chip card reading and writing handling

It writes and reads the authorization codes on the Chip cards. It usually placed at the reception.

B-Rooms services handling (RCU)

This unit controls (through a suitable driver card ) the rooms (maximum 4) connected to it at the same time.

C-Common areas services handling (ACU) This unit can be supported by the following interface boards installed on a DIN rack with 9 modules, according to the service you’d like to get:

UNIT NAME FUNCTION -I/O (I/O unit) Controls and signals (I/O) for lights, motors, etc, activation, and systems state

control. -Fire prevention unit (FIRE unit) This unit handles 4 independent zones. It controls every zone sensors (with test),

the safe crash alarm bottoms, it carries out the fire-stop doors and sirens controls.

When the fire prevention detection is used, each BUS RS485 in output from the handling PC is provided with an additional unit, to make a continual control on the PC operation data network.

-Air conditioning unit (HVAC unit) The interface controls the conditioning of 4 independent zones ( it controls the temperature and activates the Fan-Coil).

-Access unit (Access unit) Doors opening authorization of 4 independent zones with two OUT controls everyone dedicated to door look and lights.

-Power control unit (PWR unit) All the electrical equipments are entered with major power use and their working priority are entered in a database. According to this table, UCG disactivates the equipments with less priority when their consumption is closer to the power maximum contractually available at a normal rate.

This board handles up to 16 equipments. -Electronic money unit ( POS unit)

ON-line charge on room/client account for the hotel services. It is composed by��

-keypad for client PIN code typing -Chip-Card reader for client recognition and PIN code identification

-Operator keypad and alphanumeric display

3-DATA BUS It is a shielded pair connecting sequentially or radically all the peripheral units with UCG. The BUS connects up to 32 handshaking units to a 800 ml. distance. When the length or the units number increase, a LINE EXTENDER will be used. On a unique PC you can connect up to 32 independent BUS 4-ROOM SYSTEM All the equipments set necessary to the data testing and to the controls execution in the room. It consists of:

a)-ROOM CONTROL

It is composed by two module units: -I/O board for data exchange (DIN rack with 6 modules )

-Electrical controls board (DIN rack with 4 modules)

e)-Thermostat

Unit installed on a 4U rack frame. It supports every civil series plates. This unit has an independent microprocessor controlling the room temperature according to the set-point entered from UCG.

The handling firmware avoids the client to make regulations outside the limits established by the SET-POINTS and locks up the conditioning system when the window is opened. The client can operate from the external temperature up to the maximum limit (winter) or to the minimum (summer) limit set from PC. When the client is out the Fan-Coil speed cannot be locally regulated and it is set at the medium speed (Stop includes).

Operation Description a)-Terminology ∆T= Temperature difference between adjusted temperature and room temperature Tm= Maintenance temperature, that is the temperature ain the free room (not assigned) with difference between winter and summer. con distinzione tra estate e inverno. Tc= Confort temperature, that is the room temperature at the first client entrance with difference between winter and summer. Tp= Temperature adjusted by the client. Tmc= Maintenance temperature with assigned room and absent client with difference between winter and summer. Tmax= Maximum temperature in the room with client in (winter). Tmin= Minimum temperature in the room with the client in (summer). b)-Fan-Coil automatic working The Fan-Coil speed, when authorized, is set out as follows (only with client in the room) V1 (minimum) for ∆T higher then 0°C and less than 2°C V2 (medium) for ∆T between 2°C and 4°C V3 (maximum) for ∆T higher than 4°C c)-Operative cycle with absent client. -In this phase the thermostat controls are not accessible. -The room temperature is stabilized on Tm temperature and the Fan- Coil speed is fixed to medium speed (Fan-Coil maximum power efficiency). -The Tm temperature is default equal for every day hour, but you can change it in ten times automatically set (generally or room by room) with the CRONOTERMOSTAT control on the communication PC. d)-Operative cycle with client in the room -At check-in the room temperature will be set to maintenance temperature Tmc. This setting will be cancelled at the check-out and will be replaced by the Tm value. -At Guest’s entrance in the room, the temperature is set at confort temperature Tc and it is maintained until the Guest operates on the temperature adjust control. -The Fan-Coil speed automatic control is on until the Guest operated on it. The control is set on manual mode for all the Guest’s stay in the room. -The Guest ca ad just the room temperature up the Tmax and Tmin limit determined by the handling PC. In particular circumstance, this setting can be changed room by room: at check-out they will be set at standards levels. -Through handling PC it is possibile to automatically reset the temperature set by the Guest, after a freely set time (equal for all rooms), and replace it with the Tc confort temperature.

f)-Flood prevention feeler

It is placet at bathroom floor level inside a proper housing (embedding rack 3u). Its actuation causes the automatic closing of the water sanitary fixtures solenoid.

g)- Water consumption measuring unit

It consist of a wet analogic meter (not included with the supply) connected to an electronic interface equipped with a lithium buffer battery (embedding rack 3U). h)- Power consumption measuring unit It consist of a wet analogic meter (not included with the supply) connected to an electronic interface equipped with a lithium buffer battery (embedding rack 3U).

i)- Messages display

It consists of a dot matrix display (available space 93x70) and the buttons for the following functions: -Up/Down text scroll -Pages scroll -Pointer shifting -Messages acceptance (bill,pay-tv,orders,minibar orders,etc) -The display is not visibile in the dark and in the stand-by state it display the present time and date. This unit is supplied installed an appropriate aluminium support with policarbonate panel and it is suited for installation on embedding standard rack. (TICINO E215/12S)

informazione sia essa analogica che digitale. Il grande vantaggio di SY-HOTEL© e' che puo' utilizzare i normali impianti televisivi esistenti nelle strutture alberghiere e, in caso di nuove realizzazioni impiantistiche, la rete televisiva puo' essere realizzata secondo gli standards convenzionali.

Come si nota dalla fig. 1 tutte le applicazioni offerte dal SY-HOTEL confluiscono nella centrale televisiva.

La completa modularita' del sistema consente ogni ampliamento sia all'interno del singolo servizio(es. aumento dei canali sound) sia nella espansione dei servizi offerti (es. aggiungere ad un sistema sound un sistema video o modificare un sistema video in un sistema PAY TV).

Tutte le centrali sono assemblate in armadi modulari metallici secondo lo standard 19",da un minimo di 18 UNITA' ad un massimo di 42. Grossi complessi sono realizzati affiancando armadi da 32 unita'.Gli armadi sono completi di unita' di ventilazione forzata.

SY-HOTEL funziona con qualunque tipo di centrale televisiva esistente ma e' preferibile che la stessa sia del tipo moderno ovvero"CANALIZZATO.

TV SYSTEM Il servizio TV DIFFUSION prevede l'ingegnerizzazione della installazione televisiva. Questo servizio prevede:

SOUND DIFFUSION Il servizio SOUND DIFFUSION viene realizzato utilizzando come fonti sonore le seguenti apparecchiature: -ricevitori radio AM/FM -Lettori Compact Disc o lettori DAT -Lettori a cassette -ricevitori radio per emissioni da satellite Rispetto ai tradizionali sistemi di sonorizzazione (cavo dedicato,filodiffusione ) il nostro sistema offre i seguenti

vantaggi:

1-minori costi di installazione 2-possibilita' di installazione senza opere murarie o con

opere ridotte al minmo 3-distribuzione fino a 16 canali audio

4-possibilita' di inviare messaggi vocali alle singole camere

La diffusione del suono avviene normalmente in monofonia ma su richiesta puo' essere realizzata in versione

stereofonica. I canali trasmessi sono normalmente cinque; il sistema parte da un minimo di uno ad un massimo di sedici Come si vede in Fig. 3 ,la centrale di sonorizzazione viene utilizzata per la diffusione del suono sia nelle camere che nelle aree comuni La sonorizzazione nella camera avverra' tramite l'apparecchio televisivo o la tradizionale "Testa Letto".

A)- CENTRALE DI SONORIZZAZIONE

La centrale di sonorizzazione viene fornita di serie

La centrale viene fornita di connettori coassiali

per un rapido allacciamento del cavo di collegamento alla centrale TV ed alla antenna FM che viene fornita di corredo (antenna omnidirezionale).

Per l'approntamento della centrale occorre conoscere i canali televisivi occupati nell'esistente impianto in modo da allocare nello spettro VHF-UHF i nuovi canali SOUND DIFFUSION.

B)-SONORIZZAZIONE CAMERE

La sonorizzazione della camera puo' avvenire in due modi distinti: 1-sonorizzazione TV

Il normale apparecchio televisivo funge da diffusore audio. Non occorrera' fare altro che sintonizzarlo sul canale SOUND DIFFUSION : comparira' l'immagine di un orologio ed il programma musicale associato. Il Cliente selezionera' i canali SOUND con il normale telecomando in dotazione con l'apparecchio televisivo.Tramite la presa SCART dell'apparecchio TV sara' possibile sonorizzare anche il locale bagno tramite l'utilizzo di un altoparlante amplificato che puo' essere fornito nelle seguenti versioni:

a)-altoparlante da incasso a soffitto con regolazione del volume fissa o regolabile UP/DOWN b)-unita' elettronica completa di altoparlante montata su pannello in alluminio completo di scatola da incasso con regolazione del volume fissa o regolabile UP/DOWN c)-unita' elettronica ed altoparlante montata su cestello a sei unita' delle serie elettriche civili (TICINO,AVE,SIEMENS,LEGRAND) con vulume fisso preregolabile internamente Gli altoparlanti impiegati sono del tipo con membrana anigroscopica.

2-sonorizzazione con Testa Letto Il diffusore audio e' in questo caso la classica apparecchiatura Testa Letto collegata con la presa televisiva della camera e con la rete elettrica.

L'altoparlante posto nella Testa Letto puo' essere sostituito con uno esterno collocato a soffitto (in altri luoghi) per una migliore resa acustica.

La Testa Letto viene fornita di serie cosi' composta: a)-versione STANDARD -piastra in alluminio verniciato e serigrafata (e' compreso il logo HOTEL) completa di scatola da incasso.

-tasto ON/OFF -indicatore luminoso numerico del canale selezionato (massimo 16) -tasti aumento e diminuzione volume -tasto selezione canali (avanzamento/retrocessione) -altoparlante -alimentatore separato completo di scatola da incasso

B)-SONORIZZAZIONE AREE COMUNI

La centrale SOUND DIFFUSION puo' essere realizzata con l'estensione alla sonorizzazione delle aree comuni ovvero hall, reception,ristorante,corridoi,ascensori,ecc La centrale consente la parzializzazione delle aree comuni in sei zone ,o multipli di sei,ovvero ogni zona puo' essere comandata indipendentemente dalle altre consentendo cosi' l'invio di annunci localizzati o programmi diversi da quelli delle altre zone.

Ogni altoparlante e' corredato da un amplificatore miniatura da 6 watt montato direttamente sullo stesso. Il collegamento delle zone con la centrale e’ realizzato con cavo tripolare o con cavo coassiale come per le camere.

Il cavo coassiale e' quello appartenente alla rete di distribuzione televisiva. Con l'utilizzo di una unita' di amplificazione locale e' possibile rendere autonoma una zona per la diffusione di un

programma musicale,generato localmente, o per rinforzo voce .Pertanto,senza l'impiego di amplificatori portatili o casse acustiche aggiuntive,e' possibile realizzare una piccola conferenza e sonorizzare un ambiente inserendo semplicemente un microfono o una fonte musicale direttamente nella unita' di amplificazione.

unita’ rinforzo voce

Quando viene utilizzata la rete televisiva, per ogni zona comune occorre una unita' locale tipo "Testa Letto " living ove sono presenti i soli comandi volume e selezione programmi.

La zona viene abilitata tramite il cavo coassiale. In entrambe le versioni,cavo tripolare o cavo coassiale,e' possibile per ogni zona ottenere i seguenti servizi: -annuncio generale -annuncio nella singola zona -selezione programma indipendente per ogni zona Una base microfonica consente di inviare in generale, o in una zona particolare,eventuali messaggi o annunci.

L'annuncio viene preceduto dal classico DIN-DON.

VIDEO DIFFUSION

Il servizio VIDEO DIFFUSION viene realizzato utilizzando come fonti i videoregistratori o i lettori di dischi ottici. I videoregistrtori impiegati sono del tipo a tre o quattro testine DA e dotati di una testina per la pulizia automatica o

manuale delle unita' di lettura nastro. La centrale VIDEO DIFFUSION viene fornita assemblata in armadio rack 19", predisposto per n.2 fonti video e cosi'

composta: -n.1 monitor a colori da 14" -n.1 videoregistratore VHS -n.1 pannello di controllo e comando contenente: -timer digitale per la partenza in automatico del videoregistratore -processore audio per il controllo automatico del volume -processore video per il controllo del funzionamento del VCR -n.1 titolatrice a colori -n.1 gruppo di generazione canale televisivo composto da due modulatori A/V e relativo alimentatore La centrale VIDEO DIFFUSION opera nel seguente modo:

Un timer digitale provvede a determinare gli orari di funzionamento del VCR. All'orario prestabilito, il Timer, determina la partenza del VCR; se dopo qualche secondo non e' presente alcun segnale video,ll processore video provvede ad interrompere il funzionamento e a generare una nota di allarme. Lo stesso processore provvede ,a termine del programma,a far riavvolgere il nastro della cassetta e a far ripartire il.VCR se il Timer e' ancora attivo.

Quando il VCR e' inattivo o guasto, il processore video provvede as inserire un duplicato della immagine creata dalla titolatrice la quale puo' contenere qualunque tipo di informazione sulle 20 pagine a disposizione.

La macchina VIDEO DIFFUSION genera sempre un canale per la titolatrice ed uno per ogni videoregistratore.

PAY TV

Il nostro sistema PAY-TV si basa sull’utilizzo di una scheda elettronica da installare in ogni camera e su di una centrale per

la generazione dei programmi collegata all’impianto televisivo esistente tramite un cavo coassiale. La scheda elettronica consente di rilevare quando l’apparecchio televisivo viene sintonizzato su uno dei canali PAY. Tale rilevazione è utilizzata per l’addebito del servizio all’ospite a seconda delle varie soluzioni impiantistiche adottate

SCHEDA PAY-TV

L’ospite si renderà conto di essere in un programma pay per il fatto che, selezionando con il telecomando tv i vari programmi ,ne compariranno alcuni con la scritta PAY-TV posizionata in uno degli angoli dello schermo televisivo.

In casi particolari o su richiesta dell’Ospite è possibile oscurare la visione dei programmi PAY nella singola camera. Sono stati sviluppati due distinti sistemi PAY-TV: 1-gestione automatizzata ON LINE e collegata con il sistema HO-SY:

in questo caso gli addebiti sono effettuati automaticamente dal PC gestionale collegato con tutte le unità elettroniche di camera

2-gestione automatizzata con MEMORY-KEY: in questo caso una chiave elettronica memorizza il tempo di utilizzo del servizio :la successiva lettura al chek-out (tramite PC dedicato)determina l’addebito da effettuare all’Ospite.

La centrale puo’ generare programmi televisivi

provenienti da qualunque fonte audio-video (VCR,ricevitori TV satellite, Laser-disc,emittenti televisive terrestri). In tutte le versioni è presente una titolatrice a colori con la quale è possibile dare informazioni di qualunque natura ai propri Ospiti.

Questa titolatrice è inviata su un proprio canale televisivo, indipendente dai programmi PAY, e normalmente viene memorizzata (sull’apparecchio TV ) immediatamente prima di questi ultimi in modo da avvisare l’Ospite come utilizzare gli stessi programmi .

La centrale consente la gestione completamente automatica dell’invio dei filmati e la gestione e’ realizzata tramite il PC fornito in dotazione: nella versione con videoregistratori occorrera’ solamente inserire le videocassette.

Avremo quindi riproduzione continua dello stesso film,riproduzione singola ad orari definiti e riproduzione multipla.

La centralina di controllo VCR provvede ad inserire il codice PAY e la scritta PAY-TV sul filmato in corso: è possibile disattivare tale scritta e codice se si intende mandare in onda un programma senza addebito.

Ogni qualvolta il filmato termina la centralina di controllo VCR provvede a far riavvolgere il nastro e a posizionare il VCR in attesa della successiva partenza stabilita.

In caso di blocco del nastro in riproduzione ,la centralina VCR provvede a sostituire l’immagine con quella generata dalla titolatrice in dotazione e a produrre un segnale acustico di allarme. La scritta PAY-TV ed il codice PAY sono automaticamente rimossi.

La scritta PAY-TV è posizionabile a piacere su qualunque posizione dello schermo ed è possibile aggiungere anche il titolo del programma in corso.

Le funzioni delle singole apparecchiature costituenti la centrale sono le seguenti : 1-MONITOR TV COLOR : consente la visione del programmi in corso tramite il selettore CHANNEL del monitor audio. 2-MONITOR AUDIO: consente la visione ,sul monitor video, e l’ascolto dei programmi in corso tramite il seletttore CHANNEL. 3-VCR CONTROLLER : provvede a controllare le funzioni del VCR (PLAY- STOP,REW) ,a verificare la presenza del filmato a generare la nota di allarme in caso di guasti e ad immettere in linea, in assenza di programma o in caso di guasto ,l’immagine generata dalla titolatrice. Dalla stessa unita’ è possibile effettuare le seguenti operazioni manuali: a)-visione sul monitor video del filmato senza mandarlo in onda b)-selezionare il timer digitale o la partenza manuale c)-resettare il tempo di attesa tra uno stop e il successivo START. Questo tempo fisso di circa 5 minuti serve a far riavvolgere qualunque tipo di v ideocassetta. d)-selezionare la visione PAY o la visione FREE e)-genera il codice PAY da inviare unitamente al programma sul cavo coassiale della rete televisiva,per la identificazione da parte delle unità elettroniche di camera 4-VCR1 - VCR 2 : fonti video (standard registratori a 4 testine DA) 5-CONTROLLER: interfaccia digitale con il PC gestionale 6-TITOLATRICE: titolatrice a colori 7-MODULATORI A/V : modulatori PLL programmabili su tutto lo spettro VHF/UHF 8-FILTRI DI USCITA ED ALIMENTAZIONE: filtri RF per i modulatori ed alimentatore 24 Vcc per tutta la sezione RF.

INFO TV

INFO TV e' un servizio specifico per l'invio di qualunque tipo di informazione al Cliente in camera direttamente sullo schermo televisivo.

Si basa essenzialmente su due sistemi: 1-possibilita' di accedere,da parte del Cliente, direttamente al tipo di informazione che interessa. 2-consultazione di TUTTE le informazioni inviate senza possibilita' di scelta alcuna.

Il primo sistema viene realizzato mediante il display installato nella camera e collegato con il sistema HO-SY,mentre il secondo utilizza una comune titolatrice a colori (fornita in diversi modelli a seconda delle prestazioni).

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

A car parking automation system has an exact aim: making the entrance and exit operations as most quick and efficient as possible. Some system options besides ensuring a quick and effective way of payment, they also help the client in the parking space search. This system is based on rechargeable chip-cards use, which can include other information (issue date, serial number, uses amount, etc.) and they can be used for parallel enterprises (parking bar, underground/bus tickets machine, automatic car washing, etc.). The system base elements are the following: Access terminal: Clients with chip-card entrance and also clients without chip-card entrance, who will receive an admission ticket with bar-code containing the entry information. Optionally, the client can receive a ticket containing all the temporal entry data. Payment unit/Recharging: with this system the client can recharge his chip-card and also pay the ticket/bar code received at the entrance if he is out of chip-card. In this case he can choose to pay only the parking used, the bar code ticket is returned to him and this will enable him to the exit bar, or he can buy a deduction card using it for the exit (with the parking amount deduction) and for other future parkings. Exit terminal: Bar opening with the chip-card insertion used at the entry (with deduction of the parking amount) and also with the bar-code ticket insertion used at the entry and for the payment. This system can operate also with payment of the period really used: only the client with chip-card can pay the parking used minutes, not the whole hours, making in this way a more satisfied user (and an incentive to use the card, that is a client capital in the car- parkingkeeper hands). In this case the deducted time wil be considered in minutes from the entry moment (card inserted in the entry terminal) until the exit moment (card inserted in the exit terminal) eliminating in this way the idle period between the payment end the exit.

OPTIONS - Closed-circuit monitoring system: the car parking operation and its parameters can be monitored and radio-controlled by telephone from a remote control station. - Occupation: it is possible to determine exactly the free parking spaces: coils inserted in the floor of each car parking space indicate exactly how many and which spaces are free. - Parking space search: with this option the system identifies the free space closer to the entry and drives the client to the assigned space through light guides on the ceiling or on the floor. - Availability: In a car parking integrated system, remote numbered boardings, connected by telephone, direct the potential clients to the closer free car parking. - Free car parking remote indication: A special service can inform with a vocal message on the mobile phone of the client who made the request, of the car parking space availability within the city or in the single car parking.

- Regular clients booking: a regular registered client can book a parking space: the system will book the space in any way, considering it as a taken space (eventually in a particular area, protected by a bar). The client will obviously pay for the space even if he doesnt’ take it for the necessary time. This operation can be made by

- GSM mobile phone with SMS, indicating the foreseen entry and stay time. The system will book a parking space with turn-over stoppage with a foreseen algorithm to be defined). If the client doesn’t arrive within the foreseen stay time, the car parking system will free the space (making it available for other clients) charging only the booked stay time: if the space is effectively taken, the system will charge it as from the booking time until the releasing time.
