Most crosscutting saws spend more time chopping in the stopped position than moving product through, but the DSS-400’s saw blades keep up with cut position while the boards are passing through at line cruising speed. No pauses, better cuts, more accurate results.

The DSS practically doubles the throughput capacity of a traditional crosscutting saw. It offers higher speed of up to 8 cuts per second and a throughput speed up to 400 feet per minute, making it possible to cut 150,000 linear feet per shift.

Since one saw does it all, turns and direction changes are eliminated from the production lines. A more cost-effective production approach in the long run, cutting down on maintenance costs.

The six servomotors on the DSS-400 work in perfect harmony to execute cuts. «No backlash» carbon fiber transmission belts have replaced conventional gearboxes throughout the saw.
