Technical parts
Realising your most challenging technical projects according to your industrial constraints is our vocation. Our integrated design department is dedicated to creating innovative and practical solutions. At Knauf Industries, eco-design integrates all steps of the life cycle of the product. Our favour goes to lightweight single and 100 % recyclable materials.
We support you all along your project and develop an adapted solution to your infrastructure and to your logis-tics requirements.
Industrial packaging
Our mission is to design and manufacture a packaging which protects and emphasizes your products.
We offer packaging that both addresses the expectations of users and incorporates the technical characteristics of your product and your production lines.
Combination of materials, colours and shapes allows you to adapt your packaging to current marketing trends, while keeping them easy to use and to implement.
A multi-technology offer and a wide range of materials
In addition to expanded polystyrene moulding and cutting, our manufacturing process also allows us to develop a wide range of standard or made-to-measure solutions using closed-cell resins, airpop® and technical foams, according to your needs and specifications:
• airpop®, 100 % recyclable and lightweight material. Made of 98 % air. Its lightness and insulating properties make it the ideal material for a number of applications: protective packaging, insulation, decors for events or sustainable structures.
•moulded closed-cell resins (expanded polystyrene, polystyrene - polyethylene co-polymer, expanded polyethylene etc.) can meet the most severe requirements, particularly in the areas of protection against impacts, thermal and sound insulation; they also offer a number of other structural benefits such as low weight, resilience, floatability, design.
• our Technimousse® range: technical foams cutting such as polyurethane (PU), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), plastazote (PTZ) etc. These foams apply to all your requirements on protection and appearance.
Innovation to serve your requirements
Our R&D organisation dedicated to industries is continually innovating in order to offer you more efficient and recyclable products. Multiple customisation solutions can be developed along with your own R&D and Marketing departments.
Our target : promoting your brand image and your products.

Knauf Industries is specialised in designing and implementing parts that help reducing the weight of structures.
Knauf Industries will work with you to develop construction elements and technical parts that are compatible with specific products such as cement, lime, plaster, bitumen, sealants and silicone, soap, soda ash etc. After analysing of your parameters as well as your environment of use or implementation, we develop a specific solution that you will approve with us.
Knauf Industries designs and manufactures parts moulded in different materials (airpop®, EPP, PEE, etc.) to provide maximum reliable protection against impacts and vibrations.

We develop tailor-made solutions to maintain the integrity of your product throughout its logistics cycle.
The closed-cell structure of our products offers reliable protection from impacts and compression. We endeavour to offer you eco-designed solutions implemented on all stages in the life cycle of the product. A prelimi-nary study tested and validated on a prototype will enable you to precisely identify the absorbing areas of your packaging.
Knauf Industries designs isothermal solutions made of airpop® and graphite polystyrene. They are pre-qualified according to standard NF S99 -700, +2 °C /+ 8 °C, +15 °C/+25 °C for 48 to 96 hours and comply with the fundamental requirements of the supply chain: safety, protection and logistics.
Knauf Industries develops and manufactures packaging solutions for protection and transport. Our standard or made-to-measure packaging are intended for many sectors of activity (Industries, SMEs, retailers and resellers).
Our closed-cell materials (airpop®, EPP) and technical foams (Technidec® range) offer an optimum protection, which is ideal to keep your products safe and also promote them.

The easiest waste to dispose of is the one that has never been produced... That is why Knauf Industries integrates eco-design into every stage of the project !
We select materials having the lowest environmental impact for a requested working quality and technical performance.
Knauf Industries supports you throughout your project. A sales and technical team is dedicated to you, from understanding your needs up to the end of life of your products.
54 % of the consumers more and more prefer products with less packaging or with recyclable packaging (TNS SOFRES 2016 study). That is why we optimize the shape of our packaging and also the quantity of material we use. Our role is to create solutions for you which help saving material while preserving the quality of your products. We give priority to single material solutions and choose our raw material according to its technical characteristics.
As a responsible player, Knauf Industries is involved in the Clean Sweep Operation to avoid the spread of plastic granules into the nature and ensure that they be kept into the factories

airpop® RECYCLING
EXPANDED POLYPROPYLENE RECYCLING
airpop®:• 13.000 tonnes of airpop® were recycled :
which is 33 % of the total French recycling potential (compared to 7 % in 1993)
• 62 % of professional airpop® packaging was recycled• 65 % of the French consumption of airpop® packaging
was repurposed• Nearly 350 airpop® collection points are located in
France, which is five times more than 6 years agoSource ELIPSO, data of 2013
Knauf Industries solutions are 100 % recyclable. A collection and recycling process can be put into place.
airpop® is one of Knauf Industries’ favorite material. airpop® products are 100 % recyclable: either by crushing and reincorporation in new technical parts or industrial packaging, or by compacting to turn it into raw material intended for plastic parts production.
Feel free to contact us for any recycling requests you may have : we will study your needs and offer a personalised solution.
Already strongly involved in airpop® recycling, Knauf Industries is also committed to recycling EPP and is actively working in favour of sustainable development.
100 % recoverable , 100 % eco-responsible!
Like most of homogeneous thermoplastics, the expanded polypropylene becomes fluid when heated and then hardens on cooling, in a fully reversible manner. This means that it can be recycled over and over!
Our production plants are equipped for EPP recycling.
After compacting in our plants, the compacted EPP is sent to our injection factories. The injection of 100 % recycled EPP material is particularly used for
PP injected pallets for logistics...
