Unraked corner thrust stage with motorized stage lighting grid. Upstage entrance OP. Crossover access is underneath seating area and via the dressing room. Hardwood floor covered Masonite sheets.

The stage is asymmetrical and does not have wings and has minimal capacity for movement of props, set and instruments on and off stage. With 3 banks of audience seats around, it approximately fits inside a diamond. For more details request a stage plan.

OVERHEAD OBSTRUCTIONS
1 x water pipe. Starts 2.7m from off the floor and continues to the roof. It has a width of 20cm and protrudes 10cm out from the back wall. The pipe is located 2.3m from the USPS corner edge.
LOADING DOCKLoading dock is not at stage level. Goods must travel flight of stairs to access dock. Goods must travel another flight of stairs from dock to access stage. An elevator is available for heavier goods.

RESTRICTIONS/OBSTRUCTIONS

• Heavier items subject to dimensions may use the FOH lift located in the foyer.

ADDITIONAL RIGGING NOTESHANGING SPECIFICATIONS
1. Equipment suspended over the audience1.1 Only chain or wire rope slings will be permitted to
suspend loads over the audience.1.2 All slings shall be in new condition and of sufficient
load rating for the load being suspended.1.3 An “insurance” sling shall be used that has sufficient
capacity to support the load such that the load is supported should failure of main slings occur.
1.4 All shackles used shall be of the rated variety and have the load rating clearly stamped or cast into the shackle, and shall be of suitable load rating for the loads suspended.
2. Equipment suspended over stage/audience2.1 Equipment to be suspended shall have suitable
lifting points fitted. Where special fittings are used these shall be proved by submitting one item (or more if required) for complete testing such that a load certificate can be issued.
2.2 Subiaco Arts Centre reserves the right to refuse to allow any item of equipment or apparatus to be suspended.
3. Slings for suspending items3.1 All slings shall have an identifying mark or number
giving individual identification.3.2 All slings shall have a tag or suitable means of
displaying its S.W.L.3.3 Synthetic or fibre slings may be used to suspend
equipment only with an approved back up sling of wire or chain secured separately into the roof.
3.4 All equipment configurations shall be submitted to Subiaco Arts Centre Management for approval at least one week prior to the date it is intended to be suspended.
3.5 Only slings with S.W.L. certificates may be used at Subiaco Arts Centre.

LIGHTING NOTESELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT - TESTING AND TAGGING
All electrical equipment and appliances brought into the venue and requiring to be plugged into a power outlet must be recently tested and tagged to certify the safety of the equipment in accordance with regulations. Equipment or appliances not bearing this tag will not be allowed in the venue and the onus for testing and tagging of equipment rests with the person or company bringing the equipment into the venue.

Subiaco Arts Centre maintains a standard lighting rig consisting of:

The standard rig design is available upon request. Variations from the standard rig will incur labour charges to apply show specific requirements and return to standard after.
SMOKE
If you wish to use smoke-producing equipment, you must advise the venue of its scheduled usage so the smoke detectors in the area can be isolated.
PYROTECHNICS
Documentation as requested below to be provided to the Subiaco Arts Centre before bump-in:
a. a Dangerous Goods Security Card issued by the Australian Federal Police, which allows the holder to purchase and legally transport up to 5kg of explosives (i.e pyrotechnics).
b. a WA issued Pyrotechnics (Special Use) License for Theatrical Fireworks.
c. compliance with the rules for use of indoor theatrical pyrotechnic use as detailed in the WA Code of Practice Theatrical Fireworks.
AUDIOIn its standard configuration the audio is essentially 3 x mono pairs covering each of the seating banks. Each pair consists of a UPJ covering the lower levels and a UPM covering the upper levels. MM4’s are located around behind the seating in stereo pairs.

• One Technical Staff member from Subiaco Arts Centre must be present at all times for shows in the main auditorium.
STAGE REPORTS
A copy of the Company Stage Managers Report for each performance must be provided to the Subiaco Arts Centre Technical Manager on the morning after each performance.
This is a requirement for ongoing Quality Assurance Certification and the Occupational Health and Safety of the venue.
