How did you use technologies to create your product?

Different Technologies Used:

I used many different technologies to create my final product including things like:

•Digital Cameras – To create different images.• Uploading to YouTube or Slideshare.•Embedding in Blog – To make my work look professional and keep it secure.

I also used some other equipment when using the cameras, such as a tri pod.

Digital Cameras:

I used a Digital Camera to take many different pictures to create a short stop motion animation.

Using a Tri-Pod, I set the camera to a suitable angle so that it wouldn't move, and the angle of the pictures would all be the same and not end up being blurry.

Lighting: I made sure that the place where I was taking the photographs had a good amount of light around it so the pictures would come out clear and not too dark so people were unable to see the animation.

Uploading to Slideshare/YouTube

1. To upload a slideshow select upload publically and select the file from your documents.

2. The file then uploads automatically onto slideshare and is then added into your profile on blogspot by copying the link onto your blog.

Embedding in Blog

I will store my Stop Motion Animation in a Blog on my own account on Blog Spot.

This allows all my work to be saved securely and well presented so it looks professional.

The website allows me to edit my blog such as; changing the background and colours of the text.

How did this task enable you to be Creative?

How did I decide what to use?

I found a variety of different things including; plastic cartoon eyes and coloured match sticks.

I chose to use the different coloured match sticks to create the start of some end of film credits spelling out The End. Each part of the letter was created using a different matchstick which was the same colour.

Drafting: How many ideas did I have?

We copied a small section of a TV Program and tried to make a stop motion out of that where I changed the background and created my own story line with flat characters on a small cardboard background set.

The stop motion I created was my second attempt at making it.At first I had tried to use the cartoon eyes to create a face changing shape and expressions using different kinds of eyes and cartoon mouths. But I didnt think this stop motion animation was as suitable.

Building a Narrative: Did you find this difficult?

When planning my product, I started off by mimicking a small scene from a TV program, but changing the scene and creating my own storyline with the same characters from the TV program.

I found it difficult to create a storyline with no dialogue, however I made it out so that it looks like there is a problem, and the characters are concerned about something.

I added a piece of paper into one of the characters hands so it could look like he has received something which he isnt pleased about or he doesnt want to read what is on the piece of paper.

Were there any limits in terms of Resources, Time, Location?

I had to work quite quickly as we only had a small amount of equipment such as cameras and tri pods.

Although I had a limit on the amount of time I could have a camera & tri pod for, i managed to create the stop motion animation in the time slot and was able to create it to the best of my ability with the equipment available to me.

However because I was taking the photos near a window so I had a good amount of light for quite a long time.
