One Tube: Multiple UsesThe primary cause of water intrusion is the lack of properlyintegrated flashing around windows, doors and otherfenestrations. The cost of these repairs and potential exposureto litigation can be staggering, particularly when waterleakage leads to problems with mold and mildew. MoistopSealant and Liquid Flashing can be used as both a sealant andflashing, providing a multi-tasking solution for improved
weatherizationeffectiveness and jobsiteefficiency.
Completely CompatibleMoisture Resistant SealantMoistop Sealant and Liquid Flashing is anadvanced polymer designed to be compatible withvirtually all building materials. Moistop deliversexcellent adhesion, compatibility, durability andmoisture resistance to prevent door and windowwater leaks, and the expensive callbacks they
cause. It is also suitable for use in construction joints up to one half inch in width.Moistop exceeds ASTM C920 and AAMA 808.3-92 (Exterior Perimeter SealingCompounds) standards.
Durable Liquid Applied FlashingUsed as a liquid flashing system, Moistop Sealant and Liquid Flashing provides gap-free protection to rough and irregular surfaces. It is particularly useful when applyingflashing to curved intrusions like vents and plumbing, and is highly effective withmasonry window and door installations. Where specified as a liquid applied flashing, the product exceeds AAMA 714 standards. And even though Moistop is toughenough to repair torn vapor barriers, it is smooth enough to take paint in visibleapplication areas.
Part of a Complete Moisture Control SolutionImprove jobsite efficiency and reduce waste by specifying and using a single productwith multiple moisture protection uses.
Moistop Sealant and Liquid Flashing is part of the Fortifiber® Protection System andis highly effective when paired with Jumbo Tex® building paper, WeatherSmart®
housewraps, and all Fortifiber flashings. Together they form a comprehensiveweatherization system that protects homes and buildings against moisture intrusionproblems. Designed through the use of building science and perfected in the field, this is the only complete moisture control system available in the industry from asingle source. When this complete system is installed properly, builders are eligiblefor 15 year warranty protection that covers both materials AND labor.
The Fortifiber Building Systems Group® is proud to offer thisMade-In-USA product. With more than a seventy-five yearhistory of proven performance, technical expertise and practicalknow-how, the company has become a trusted partner to builders, architects and code officials.
