The 2015 model year BMW i8 has 7.1 kwh Lithium-ion battery pack that delivers an all-electric range of 37km.
Top speed of 256 km/h beating the record of Bugatti Veron of 253km/h .
The concept was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show.
Also 47km a liter.
Under the hood & Tech 1.5-liter turbo charged three cylinder attached to a six-speed
automatic transmission.
This tiny little aluminum plant sits directly behind the passenger.
A 96kw electric motor churns the front axle through a unique two-speed automatic transmission.
Access to the electronics and motor under the hood requires a special technician’s key.
