About the Goggles They are the world’s first GPS goggle

made with state of the art technology. They are designed for snow sports. They are a co-creation of Zeal Optics and

Recon Instruments brands. They will be commercially available in

October 2010 for $350-$450.

About the Goggles Transcend Goggles also include a large

amount of features designed to enhance a skier or snowboarders experience. They can be used to improve the users skills.

These features are controlled by three buttons on the goggle and are viewed by the user on a screen inside the goggle out of the line of vision.

The Most Innovative Technology Zeal Optics calls it the “world’s first

direct-to-eye communication display”. This allows the small LCD screen (a

quarter inch wide on the bottom of the goggle) to magnify and appear to hang six feet in front of the user when they look down upon it, so it otherwise is not distracting when not in use.

Other Interesting Facts Transcend goggles took 3½ years in

development. They were given to the Canadian

Olympic snowboarding team in preparing for the winter games.

In the future, Zeal Optics has promises for more features such as trail maps, text message display, mountain traffic reports, music controls, emergency calling, online data sharing and much more.
