What is it? Google Docs and Sites

Docs Include- Text, Presentation, Spreadsheets (Forms)

Sites- collaborative websites for teachers and students.

Email, Contacts, Start Page, Video Feature (like YouTube) only teachers can upload to private network.  It is meant to work with, not replace, Microsoft Office.

• Contract w/ Gaggle to provide (COPPA) compliant accounts with filtered mail. 

• Students can only send docs, email, sites to others in School Network.

• Apps will not work outside School Network even with signed letter.

• Site/document control as the administrator.

"It would be easier to put a Google Presentation or Spreadsheet on a site because you could see it automatically instead of clicking on an attachment. If I did make a change, I wouldn't need to worry about uploading the presentation for Google would do it for me."  "If we were doing a group presentation for reading and language arts, (which we actually have done) we could work on it at the same time and do our part without needing to copy-and-paste the night before working on it each day in class."  "One advantage is that the people you share the document with can correct any mistakes. Graphs can be made go to Insert chart. They will change automatically when data is entered.

Need to leave enough rows below if you make the graph bigger. Graph does not export well to Excel
