Validation s e r vices and Instrument

The calibration and confirmation of measurement are the requirements for the verification of

the capacity of an instrument to measure.

PMS has developed a quality lab consisting of an Engineer and Instrument technicians

who work with our clients on all aspects of their Qualification, Validation and Calibration

requirements. All works conducted within the department are in line with UNI EN ISO

regulation and guidelines.

In line with our customer requirements PMS has acquired a broad experience and is

continuously expanding its knowledge base of the numerous instruments used within the

pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The team prepare the protocols for validation,

conduct the validation testing in field and produce the validation reports for all phases of the

instrument / equipment qualification:

• Installation Qualification (IQ)

• Operational Qualification (OQ)

• Performance Qualification (PQ) on existing or new machines and equipment

The laboratory also certifies Measurement equipment used in the field by clients and third

parties.

• Fume Hoods

-Test of the front speed according to EN 14175

The speed of the air entering the hood (Face Velocity) is measured using anemometers

accompanied by certificates

issued by SIT centers or equivalent valid. The measurements are performed in accordance with

EN 14175.


• Fume Hoods

-Test of the air velocity in the installation of the fume cupboard according to EN 14175

The purpose of this test is to quantify the flow of air in the immediate vicinity of the fume

cupboard. velocity

the interaction that the airflow of the hood has with those of the local. The visualization of the flow

occurs through the use of

a visible tracer released at a distance of 400 mm from the front of the hood. Any air movement

near

the opening of the hood is displayed and documented by filming or photographs.
