Our teak, selected for its high oil content, is dried then steam-treated to make it rot-proof. Tectona also pioneered the use of synthetic materials such as woven resin, which is used around an ultra-light aluminium frame. Seashell is an outdoor lounge in aluminium designed by Constance Guisset Studio. It consists of two types of unit that can be arranged to suit the occasion, providing generous seating space or a more intimate setting. Timeless elegance is achieved by the use of light, continuous lines describing the feet and the backrest, around which runs a ribbon delimiting the seat. The silver grey colour subtly and discreetly blends into the surroundings, as do the heather grey cushions in natural fabric. Two softly contoured coffee tables made from aluminium and teak complete this new collection that blends classicism with contemporariness.

The Pebbles designed by Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec are remarkable in their conception: woven resin embracing an aluminium frame of simple and perfectly proportioned contours. The three main platforms are slightly concaved and their weaving lends them a soft texture. The collection is completed by a small table equipped with a tray and an armchair with backrest—both designed with the same principles in mind.

The contemporary looks of the low and comfortable Shanghai lounge are attributable to Christophe Delcourt. Round fibre is used throughout the collection, consisting of a three-seater sofa, fireside chair, low armchair, footrest, coffee table, side table and a gueridon table with a glass tabletop.

The Borneo lounge, woven from a new horizon grey coloured round fibre and featuring soft rounded contours, is extremely comfortable. The two sofas (two- and three-seater models), fireside chair and footrest, along with the two low tables, can be arranged in multiple ways.

The design of the Lancaster bench is a fine illustration of British elegance tinged with exoticism of 1920s India. Two widths are available.

A masterpiece of cabinetmaking, this circular (or semi-circular) bench is the outcome of superior craftsmanship and practicality. The crossbeams and also the slats of the seat have been carved from the block, ensuring greater stability than if they had been simply arched.

Tectona commissioned designers Barber & Osgerby to revisit the classic teak garden bench. The result is the sober and elegant Deauville bench inspired by traditional craftsmanship so dear to Tectona: the key attraction of this piece is the “roof frame” supporting the backrest and seat.

Great connoisseurs of gardens, the English developed, especially during the 19th century, a very typical style of furniture from which the London benches are directly inspired. Choose from natural teak, in 3 widths, or hand-painted wood, in the largest size only.

Marly bench

The Marly bench is directly inspired by a bench designed by André-Jacob Roubo, author of a treatise on the art of furniture making in the 18th century. In keeping with the spirit of that period, it is painted with a brush.

The reissue, in 2006, of the bench that had belonged to Madeleine Castaing highlights Tectona’s close ties to the history of design. The “great lady of decoration”, muse and patron of Chaïm Soutine, chose this perfectly proportioned restoration bench for her garden. A sign of the times, the bench is now considerably lighter, since it is now fabricated from aluminium. This corrosion-proof material is the perfect choice for the comprehensive range of outdoor furniture to which the bench belongs.

Following a commission by Tectona, the English design agency Industrial Facility conceived a table and armchair in powder-coated aluminium. The supersized armrests and legs of the Alumi armchair evoke balustrades and handrails used on staircases and elsewhere. The armchair is extremely light, comfortable and also stackable. The Alumi table has distinctive features — smooth tabletop edges and angled legs— that lend it a modern, urban look. An ensemble consisting of this lightweight and compact-sized table and a few Alumi armchairs is ideal for patios and balconies.

The Madison armchair in teak is Tectona’s take on the bridge armchair, and draws inspiration from the highly distinctive styling of the 1950s: sober aesthetics, rounded forms, sleek and functional lines. The roundness of the back imparts a high level of comfort to the armchair: a single section is cut to shape and sculpted into curves. Southampton armchairs effortlessly combine Batyline and teak in a unique design offering both robustness, thanks to the thick sections, and easy manipulation, due to the crossed legs. Comfort is enhanced by the absence of a bar below the knees. Folding is very straightforward. Stainless steel bearings also reinforce stability. Batyline is a pre-stressed synthetic fabric that is exceptionally resistant: it keeps its colour in all conditions of exposure to sun or rain, yet it is both soft and light. Following a commission by Tectona, the English design agency Industrial Facility conceived a table and armchair in powder-coated aluminium. The supersized armrests and legs of the Alumi armchair evoke balustrades and handrails used on staircases and elsewhere. The armchair is extremely light, comfortable and also stackable.

The steamer chairs Normandie, in teak, and Britannia, hand-painted crimson, are reminiscent of those used on transatlantic ocean liners before the advent of long-haul air travel. Their silhouette is that of traditional steamers with lengthwise slats. For your comfort, the slats in the seat have been cut to shape, and those in the backrest are gently curved. A wrought iron support and a vent in the canopy ensure great resistance to wind. Our parasols are built in the workshops of an Italian family whose expertise and workmanship span four generations. Hardwood hubs ensure the solidity of the structure. Varnished by hand with water-soluble varnish. The struts are also handcrafted and reinforced at both ends. Sober and practical with superb finishing, this transportable shower (stainless steel plumbing with teak support and base) can be connected to an ordinary garden hose *. An essential accessory on the beach or at the poolside.

The rectangular foot shower takes up little space, allowing a very discreet installation. It is equipped with a tap, a handheld showerhead and a temperature control lever. It connects to either a hosepipe (at the rear) or a fixed plumbing system (connection underneath the base).

The Delta shower is imbued with the modern and timeless design of Inga Sempé. Its minimalist lines impart purity and simplicity, and ensure that it blends into any environment. All our cushions are made from high-performance materials so they can be left outside in the rain and they dry rapidly. All (except the mattresses used in Normandie and Britannia steamers) have removable covers and piping that combine elegance with practicality.

Quick Dry Foam allows water to drain out of the cushion very quickly, preventing it from stagnating.

Sunbrella is a highly resistant fabric that can withstand the sun, humidity and repeated washes.

Batyline is a washable patterned vinyl fabric.

Toiles de Jouy fabrics have undergone Teflon and antimould treatments to make them resistant to the elements and to UV rays.

teakTeak is a dense wood secreting an oil that makes it naturally rot-proof. If left untreated, its surface will gradually develop an attractive grey patina. Teak is well suited to outdoor use. Knots, which may be present in sanded and silvered teak, confer a rustic look.

To conserve the original colourof your furnitureAfter cleaning your furniture with soapy water and a brush, you may apply a coat of Wood Sealant* to slow down the greying process. This product is also effective against stains (tabletops).

Your furniture has become grey and youwant to restore its original appearanceFurniture that has never been cared for can be cleaned with Net Trol** to remove all impurities, stains, mould and previous treatments. After cleaning your furniture,you can apply the wood sealant.

For a silver grey patinaNo treatment is required. Over time, the wood will naturally take on a silver-grey hue. However, annual cleaning with soapy water is recommended.

You accidentally stained your furnitureNon-greasy stains can be removed by washing away with water. Greasy stains require the use of a textile cleaning product.

painted woodWe use teak or balau, treated specifically to ensure paint adhesion outdoors. Fine cracks may appear : these have no effect on resistance but necessitate occasional touch-ups.

To clean or repaint your furniturePainted wood can be cleaned with soapy water. If repainting, use a microporous oil-based paint for exterior wood.

powder-coated aluminiumPowder-coated aluminium, cast or in tubes, combines lightness with robustness. It does not rust. The lacquer is applied as a powder and stoved. It is extremely resistant to abrasion.

To clean or repaint your furniturePowder-coated aluminium can be cleaned with soapy water. For chips, use the supplied touch-up kit or oil-based paint.

woven resinWoven resin is a highly resistant synthetic polyethylene-based fibre. It keeps its colour and is fully recyclable. Its longevity depends on light intensity and temperature variations. We use it, like in traditional basket weaving, in the form of rounded and rattan-like fibres.

To clean or repair your furnitureCleaning with soapy water and a brush is perfect for woven resin. Damage to your furniture in the form of cigarette burns or cuts necessitates rewelding (using a soldering iron) or replacement.

You accidentally stained the fabricNon-greasy stains treat by wetting; swab the outside while drying the underside with a clean cloth. Never use detergent or household stain remover.Greasy stains swab before applying stain remover.

To avoid leaving marks, always swab from the outside to the centre of the stain. Read the product instructions carefully or ask a dry cleaner for advice.The covers can be washed at 30°C; never spin or machine dry.

batyline® fabric Batyline is a durable vinyl fabric that keeps its shape and is frequently used in prestige outdoor objects.Its softness makes it a very comfortable furniture fabric.

parasolsSunbird and Colibri parasols and the Butterfly tent have acrylic canopies.The Florida model has a Textilene canopy, which can be cared for as Batyline.

Parasols with a varnished pine mast have a waterproofed cotton canvas. This canvas should be dusted off and cleaned uniformly with a hose. Detergents should be avoided, as they would remove the water-repellent property.

To store your parasolroll it up and store in a dry place inside its storage sack or an old sheet ; never under any circumstances store it in plastic.

how to look after your furnitureHere are some simple recommendations to extend the lifetime of your furniture.

annual cleaningIt is highly recommended that you clean your furniture once a year. Use water with a bit of washing-up liquid or soap to remove all impurities.

precautions of use- Handle the extendable tables with another person so that movements are "symmetric"- Do not sit on steamer footrests.- Close parasols after use, and never store it under a plastic canvas.

protection coversFor our outdoor lounges and sun loungers with mattresses, we recommend use of protective covers for total weather protection. They are made of white waterproof canvas and are easy to clean.
