Who is Ted Croner?
• Ted Croner was an American photographer.
• He was born in Baltimore in 1922, but raised in North Carolina.
• He was best known for his haunting night images of New York City.
• He served as an aerial photographer in World War II before settling in New York, in 1947.
• He had died from natural causes in New York in 2005 at the age of 82.
(Ted Croner when he was younger, this is the time from when he was an aerial photographer in World War II)
Here are some of his photographs . . .
This image was captured in Madison Square Garden
This image was captured at Central Park South
This image is of a taxi, taken in New York. It was taken for a department store display while he was a student at lexei Brodovitch's legendary "design laboratory."
He had taken this image in New York City as well, and it is of a mother and a child
As you can already see, Ted Croner took this photograph in New York City of a man in the snow
This photo to me is a bit creepy, but I guess it goes along with the rest of Ted's haunting images. This has more of an american suburb feel to it though.
This too is a very popular photograph by him. It is of two men in top hats.
This image was captured on the streets of New York City of a woman
The image above, was captured at an old movie theatre in Madison Square Garden
