TEXTING IS NOT WRITING AT

ALL..?!

That’s a ludicrous statement. It draws in the audience by make

you think and ask questions.

Page 6: Ted slideshow charlina foster

GAINING OUR ATTENTION AND

KEEPING IT

Humor and short stories with examples that tie in great with the

topic.

Historical reference with relevance.

Page 7: Ted slideshow charlina foster

John felt free to comment on other

the Gettysburg address.

COMMANDMENT #5

John makes use of past works as examples and comparison to

events now used commandment number 7 very well.

DYNAMISM

John McWhorter on the dynamism scale would get a 3 because of

his lack of enthusiasm while speaking on the subject. He could

used a little more humor to connect with the audience. At times he

lost my interest and that’s not good you want to keep the

audience engaged.

USE OF STEP 2 BASED ON

DUARTE

He’s spreading and idea I learned to look at the idea of texting in

a whole new light.

I give McWhorter for that.

Ken Robinson John Mcwhorter

Funny and engaging.

Uses a lot of imagery and

story telling to create

prespective.

SPEAKING LIKE YOU WRITE OR

WRITING LIKE YOU SPEAK

There is a difference between the two one is formal and the other

id casual.

Texting gives us the ability to write like we speak which was

impossible until the emergence of handheld technology.
