• Place each drink inside a plastic cup. Label the cups.

• Break the eggs in half. Empty the yolk away and break the shells in half. Put one half in each plastic cup with the drink.

• Store the plastic cups together, in the same place.

• Take photographs of the egg shells after a week and after two weeks.

As James carefully examined the egg shell he could clearly see how the sugar had eaten away and decayed the enamel of the shell.He now knew how important it would be to brush his teeth well after he had had a sugary drink!

The milk had not caused so much damage to the egg shell but what a smell!The shell of the egg was not cracked or discoloured.
