The project began with the idea of integration through working with wooden looms. Teixidors offers labour and social integration to people with learning difficulties through the manual loom. Cooperative dedicated to producing handcrafted textile garments and selling to national and international level. Headquarters in Terrassa, a city known as the heir and continuation of a major textile tradition. What is Teixidors?

Since its beginnings in 1983, Teixidors has been a project linked to the social economy and committed to generating wellbeing for people with learning difficulties, supporting them and giving them a specialized, integrating job as a manual weaver. The handloom is a tool that allows the coordination of mental and physical activity, generating the proper development of psychomotor skills. It has 44 employees, of whom 32 have special needs.

On our traditional wooden looms, we create unique pieces using the highest quality raw materials, such as Cashmere, extra fine Merino and Shetland wool, mohair, yak fur silks and linens. Manual looms enable us to create deliciously imperfect borders on our pieces. A wool blanket becomes a work of art full of nuances, reflecting the individuality of each weaver.
