Woodex Aqua Wood Oil provides an effective,
easy to use treatment for the protection and
finishing of your outdoor wooden surfaces,
whether it’s cladding for the house, your shed,
decking, fences or garden furniture.
As well as the shades opposite the Gardens &
Gables collection is available as a clear oil (GGCLR).
Important Note Although we make every effort to match the colours on this card as closely as possible to the stain, due to limitations in the printing process we cannot guarantee an exact replication of colour.
Gardens & Gables application guidelines
Apply to a clean, dry wooden surface.
If not applying to new timber, pressure wash,
treat and remove moulds or lichen then allow
to fully dry before applying.
Hardwood garden furniture
• Apply neat with a sponge pad or brush.
• Do not load the surface excessively, it’s better to apply two thin coats than one heavy one.
• Allow at least one hour between coats.
• To increase the gloss level, buff with a lint free cloth 10 minutes after applying the final coat.
• Drying times vary depending on conditions; test an area with a rag before sitting on decorated chairs or benches.
Tanalised softwoods
• For best results add 20% water and mix well.
• Apply with a brush for decking and grooved surfaces.
• Apply with a sponge pad on flat surfaces.
• Apply evenly one or two coats; to achieve the desired colour.
• Do not load the surface excessively, it’s better to apply two thin coats than one heavy one.
• Allow at least one hour between coats.
• To increase the gloss level, buff with a lint free cloth 10 minutes after applying the final coat.
• Drying times vary depending on conditions, for best results do not walk on the surface for a minimum of 4 hours.
