Techtextil 2011 is Organized On 24-26May, in Frankfurt

The textile industry keeps moving at full

speed. Orders are queued; factories andworkshops are working full capacity. Tex-

tile, which preserves it feature to be the

most active industry, maintains it position

as the locomotive of the industry thanks

to the abolishment of some obstacles.

This liveliness in textile is not only limited

with Turkey of course; textile is also pre-

serving its liveliness in the international

arena. For instance, as per the recent figu-

res received from EU, it can be seen that

the export figures achieved both in France

and Germany are thanks to the textile in-dustry.

At that point, this liveliness makes each of

the international textile exhibitions real

centers of attraction. This month Techtex-

til Frankfurt will be organized. There will

be very important presentations and the

latest technologies will be introduced. We

will be at Techtextil with our publications

and team. You will find the most updated

new in our next issue. Afterwards, Texpo

Euroasia and Shanghaitex will be held. Be-

sides, news and review of Index, which we

exhibited at, can be read in this issue.

To sum up, we can say that the exhibition

season has begun. It is not a coincidence

that textile exhibitions are at majority all

over the world. Textile exhibitions penet-

rated the whole world thanks to its liveli-

ness. With the development of nano texti-

le, textile exhibitions started to be divided

into sub groups. We happily follow the

developments in textiles both on behalf of

the industry itself and our country. We be-

lieve that each cent to be invested in tex-

tile will return as a contribution to the co-

untry and we wish once more that Turkey

does not shift its route from textile.

Tekstildeki bu canl›l›k Türkiye ile s›n›rl› de¤il

elbette; uluslararas› alanda da tekstil canl›l›-

¤›n› ayn› flekilde koruyor. Mesela AB’den ge-

len son rakamlara göre, Fransa ve Alman-

ya’n›n ihracat›na bakt›¤›n›z zaman her iki ül-

kenin yüzünü güldüren rakamlar›n tekstilden

geldi¤ini görürsünüz.

‹flte tekstildeki bu canl›l›k uluslararas› tekstilfuarlar›n› da birer cazibe merkezi haline geti-

riyor. Bu ay›n sonuna do¤ru Frankfurt’ta

Techtextil Fuar› var. Burada yine çok önemli

sunumlar yap›lacak, son teknolojiler görücü-

ye ç›kacak. Biz de Tekstil Teknoloji yay›nla-

r›m›z ve ekibimizle orada bulunaca¤›z in-

flallah. Bu fuardan en canl› haberleri ilerle-

yen say›m›zda siz de¤erli sektör temsilcile-

rine ve okuyucular›m›za aktaraca¤›z. Son-

ras›nda ise Texpo Euroasia ve Sangaitex ge-

liyor. Ayr›ca Nisan ay›nda kat›l›mc›s› oldu-

¤umuz Index fuar›yla ilgili bilgiler de bu sa-y›m›zda yer al›yor.

K›sacas› ‘Fuar mevsimi bafllad›’ diyebiliriz. Fu-

ar etkinlikleri içinde dünya genelinde en çok

tekstil üzerine fuarlar yap›lmas› bir tesadüf

de¤ildir. En canl› ve sürekli kendini yenileyen

sektör oldu¤u için tekstil fuarlar› dünyan›n

dört bir yan›n› sarm›flt›r.

Hele nano tekstilin geliflmesi ile birlikte

si’nin 2023 hedefini 545

mesi bekleniyor. Bu ra-

kamda %3’lük pay, yani 3

milyar dolarl›k k›s›m Türk

tekstil teknoloji üreticile-

rinden bekleniyor. Tekstil

makine üreticileri, 2010 y›-

l›nda 276 milyon dolarl›k

ihracata imza att›lar, 2011

y›l›n›n ilk 3 ayl›k bölümün-

de ihracatlar›n› %20 art›r-

d›lar. Ama buradan sonras›nda devletten deste¤e ihtiyaç duyu-

y o r l a r .

Türk tekstil makine ve yan sanayi üreticileri, birlik ve beraber-

liklerini koruyarak güçlenmek ve seslerini resmi kanallara du-

yurabilmek amac›yla TEMSAD çat›s› alt›nda toplanmay› sürdü-

rüyorlar. TEMSAD - Tekstil Makine ve Aksesuar Sanayicileri

Derne¤i Baflkan› Adil Nalbant ile Türk tekstil makine üreticile-

rinin kiflisel baflar›lar›n›, ihtiyaçlar›n›, beklentilerini ve 2023 he-

define ulaflmalar› için yap›lmas› gerekenlerin neler oldu¤unu

k o n u fl t u k .

make their voices heard and get stronger by preserving and

improving their unity and solidarity. We have interviewed

TEMSAD- Textile Machinery and Accessories Industrialists As-

sociation’s Predident Mr.Adil Nalbant about the personal suc-

cess of Turkish Textile Machinery manufacturers, their needs,

their expectations and what should be done so that they can

achieve their 2023 targets.

“We can only reach that point with the support and effort of

people who set their hearts to this industry; but from now on

subsidiaries and supports are crucial.”

When we have a look in the industry, I can say that we are at

the same point for the last 3-4 years; we cannot exceed the

du¤umuzu söyleyebilirim. Bir k›r›lma noktas›nday›z; 250-300

milyon dolarl›k ihracat aral›¤›n› bir türlü geçemiyoruz ama afla-

¤›ya da düflmüyoruz. Global krizde, ekonominin %20 darald›-

¤› 2009 y›l›nda 270 milyon dolarl›k ihracat yapm›fl›z; ekonomi-

nin %20 büyüdü¤ü 2010 y›l›nda 276 milyon dolarl›k bir ihra-

cat yapm›fl›z.

Tekstil makine sanayi ihracat›nda enteresan bir noktada duru-

yoruz. Özel sektör, bu sektöre gönül vermifl insanlar›n çabas›y-

la buraya kadar gelebiliyor; buradan sonras›nda çok önemli

teflvikler, destekler gerekiyor. Yani otomotive, haz›r giyime,

tekstil üreticilerine verilen desteklerin çok az bir k›sm›yla teks-

til makine sektörü en az 2-3 misli büyür diye düflünüyorum.

Kendi çabalar›m›zla bundan baflka gidebilece¤imiz yerimiz kal-

mad›. Bilgi birikimi ve tekstil sektörünün yap›s› itibariyle maki-

ne sanayi geliflmeye çok müsait. ‹ç pazarda 1,5-2 milyar dolar-

l›k makine al›n›yor. D›flar›ya 300 milyon dolarl›k makine satt›k

diye seviniyoruz, ama 2 milyar dolarl›k makineyi ithal ediyoruz.

export figures of 250-300 million dollars but we also never fall

below this figures. At the global crisis, we achieved an export

figure of 276 million dollars in 2010, which results with a

growth of 20%.

We are standing at an interesting point in textile machinery in-

dustry export. Private industry can only reach that point with

the support and effort of people who set their hearts to this

industry; but from now on subsidiaries and supports are cru-

cial. That is to say, with only a little part of the support provi-

ded to the automotive, ready wear and textile manufacturers,

textile machinery industry can grow at least 2 or 3 times. The-

re is no way to go with our own effort now. The textile mac-

hinery industry is open to development due to its knowledge

and the structure of the textile industry. The domestic market

purchase machineries equivalent to 1,5-2 billion dollars. We

are happy to have machinery sales of 300 million dollars to

overseas but we import machinery of 2 billion dollars. At that

time textile machinery industry is at the edge of an explosion;

machineries and accessories manufactured are sold to the

whole world. If we can receive the required support, we will

be one of the co-stars.

If we look at the export figures of textile machinery for the

first 3 months of 2011, we can see that there is an increase of

20%. Besides, the most important aspect of textile machinery

industry is that they do not only export but also provide servi-

ce supporting in the fields of spare parts, technical service and

etc. If you are a textile country and do not understand the

metler veriyorlar. Tekstil ülke-

siyseniz, gelen makinelerden

anlam›yorsan›z, o makinelerin

çal›flt›r›lmas› için sürekli sömü-

rülmek durumundas›n›z. Bizde

son 30-40 senede sektördeki

arkadafllar›m›z›n flahsi gayret-

leriyle sektör belli bir yere gel-

mifltir. Biz tekstil sanayicisinin

elini de güçlendirdik. Art›k

“sen nas›l bana 875.000 Eu-

ro’ya ram satars›n, benim ülkemde 350.000 dolara yapan var”

diyorlar. Bu sebeple di¤er ülkelerdeki makine üreticileri, Türki-

ye’ye ithalatlar›nda fiyat ve kalite olarak daha dikkatli davran-

mak zorunda kald›lar.

“2011 y›l›nda ve ötesinde, tekstil sektöründeki ithalat k›-

s›tlamas› gibi makineler için de gerekli yasaklar›n ç›kart›l›p

tedbirlerin al›nmas›n› istiyoruz.”

Bu y›l yani 2011 y›l›, tekstilci arkadafllar›m›z›n Hükümet nez-

dinde ald›klar› bir Kanun Hükmünde Kararname ile bafllad›.

Özellikle Uzak Do¤u’dan gelen ucuz tekstil dokunmufl kumafl-

lar›na ve haz›r giyimine koyulan vergi çok önemliydi. Bu bile

bizleri çok mutlu etti. Çünkü Dünya Ticaret Örgütü dedi¤imiz

birlik, Bat›l› ülkeler için her türlü tedbiri al›yor. Do¤ulu ülkeler

her türlü taklidi vb. yap›yorlar. Ama Türkiye’ye gelinde, bir sü-

rü yasakla karfl›lafl›yoruz ve “gümrüklerini sonuna kadar aç,

ben sana her fleyi yollayay›m, sen bana sadece istediklerimi

gönderebilirsin” diyorlar. Avrupa’n›n zihniyetini flöyle aç›klaya-

y›m: her giden sebze meyve tafl›yan t›r’dan Avrupa Birli¤i

7000-8000 Euro vergi al›yormufl. Anlayaca¤›n›z Avrupal›lar,

kendi üreticisini, kendi makinecisini korumak için her türlü ön-

lemi al›yor. Sana hiçbir fley ald›rtm›yor. 2. el makinedeki 10 yafl

s›n›r› kald›r›ld›¤› için onlar› rahatça Türkiye’ye yolluyorlar ama

2. el otomobil sokturtmuyor.

Bu sebeplerden dolay›, bizim bireyler olarak yapabilece¤imiz

fazla bir fley kalmad›, devlet deste¤ine ihtiyac›m›z var. Ama bu

destekleri para olarak istemiyoruz. Rakibimle ayn› flartlarla mü-

cadele edebilirsem, bu bile bana yeter. Çünkü rakibim her tür-

lü avantajlarla, devletinin deste¤iyle, teflvi¤iyle, geliyor benim

pazar›mda mücadele ediyor ama bize geldi¤i zaman, önümüz-

de bir sürü engel ç›k›yor. 2011 y›l›nda ve ötesinde, tekstil sek-

töründeki ithalat k›s›tlamas› gibi makineler için de gerekli ya-

saklar›n ç›kart›l›p tedbirlerin al›nmas›n› istiyoruz. Bunun sade-

ce tekstil makineleri için de¤il, tüm makine sektörleri için uy-

gulanmas›n› bekliyoruz. Bu ülkenin ekonomisini kalk›nd›racak-

lar, bu ülkenin sanayicisidir. S›n›rlar aç›k deyifline inanm›yo-

textile industrialists. Now they

are able to say “how can you

sell me a stenter machine to

untry”. That’s why other texti-

le machinery manufactures had to be prudent in their exports

to Turkey in terms of quality and price.

“We wish that necessary prohibitions are issued along with

precautions such as limiting imports in textile industry for the

year 2011 and afterwards.”

This year, I mean 2011, begun with a Statutory Decree taken

by our textile industrialist friends in the presence of the Go-

vernment. Especially, taxes issued for cheap woven textile fab-

rics and ready wear coming from Far East was quite impor-

tant. This also made us very happy. Because the Association

named World Trade Association takes all necessary precauti-

ons for Western countries. Eastern companies imitate every-

thing. But when it comes to Turkey, we encounter several pro-

hibitions and they say “open all your customs till the end, I can

send you everything but you can only send me what I want”.

Let me explain the European mentality: The European Union

charge 7.000- 8.000 Euro from each truck carrying fruits and

vegetable. That is to say Europeans take all precautions to

protect its own producers and machinery manufacturers. They

do not let you buy anything. As they have abolished the 10 ye-

ars limit in second hand machineries, they can send them to

Turkey freely but they do not let second hand automobiles to

their countries.

That’s why there is nothing left for us to do individually. We

need the support of the State. But we don’t want this support

as money. Being able to compete with my competitor under

the same conditions would be enough for me. Because my

competitor competes with me in my market with all advanta-

ges and the support of state, but when it comes to us we en-

counter several boundaries. We wish that necessary prohibiti-

ons are issued along with precautions such as limiting imports

in textile industry for the year 2011 and afterwards. We want

this not only for the textile machinery but also for all other

machinery industries. The ones to develop this country’s eco-

nomy are this country’s industrialists. I do not believe the sta-

kararnamesi ç›kar›ld›¤› zaman, en fazla Alman ve ‹talyan maki-

ne üreticileri sevindiler. Çünkü onlar için 2. el makinelerini sa-

tacaklar› bir pazar aç›lm›fl oldu. Böylece onlar eski teknolojile-

rini bize sat›p, kendileri yerlerine yenilerini koydular. Teflekkür

için gitti¤imizde bu konuyu Bakan beyle görüfltük; bizim bu it-

halat vergisini koymam›za en fazla Hindistan, Pakistan, Bang-

ladefl gibi ülkeler üzülmüfl. Oralar›n Büyükelçileri “siz bu kanu-

nu ç›kart›rsan›z, bizim 150.000 kiflimiz iflsiz kalacak” diye söy-

lemifl.

Kriz hala bitmedi, dünyadaki düzen yeniden kurulacak. Finans

sektörüyle bu yenilenme bafllad›, flu anda ticaretle, paralarla,

düzenlerle, rejimlerle oynan›yor. Kendi yeni yüzy›llar›n›n plan-

lar›na uygun fleyler yap›yorlar. S›n›rlar de¤iflmiyor ama art›k s›-

n›r›n da anlam› kalmad›. Tür-

kiye o kadar güzel bir yerde-

ki, dünyan›n kalbinde. Türki-

ye aleyhinde ne yap›lmak is-

tenirse istensin, bulundu¤u

yer ve üzerinde yaflayan in-

sanlar sebebiyle çok flansl›d›r.

Orta Do¤u ve Afrika ülkele-

rindeki kar›fl›kl›klar sebebiyle

siparifller bize döndü. Ayr›ca

baflta Çin olmak üzere Uzak

Do¤ulu üretimlerin düflük ka-

litesi yüzünden iptal edilen si-

parifller de bize geldi.

Türkiye flu anda çok entere-

san bir noktada duruyor. Bu

büyük bir f›rsatt›r. Kapasite olarak zaten belli bir noktaday›z.

Bunun yan›nda tekstil teknolojileri ve moda-markada da hak

edilen noktaya gelmemiz gerekiyor. Ayr›ca, tekstil teknolojile-

rini üretebilen alt yap›y› gelifltirmek zorunday›z. Tekstilde söz

sahibi olaca¤›m diyorsan›z, tekstil teknolojilerinde ve makine-

lerinde de söz sahibi olmak zorundas›n›z.

yaretçi olarak ise 1. s›raday›z .”

2011’de bildi¤iniz gibi ITMA y›l›, ama ondan önce bizim Tex-

po Euroasia dedi¤imiz bir fuar›m›z var; ben bunun da oldukça

baflar›l› geçece¤ine ve tekstil makine üreticilerimizin ITMA’dan

daha iyi ifl yapacaklar›na inan›yorum. Çünkü bizim a¤›rl›kl› ola-

rak satt›¤›m›z makineler boya-apre, aksesuar ve kimyasallar.

Avrupa’da ITMA’ya gittik; gelen ziyaretçiler Avrupal›. Avru-

pa’da son 10 y›l içinde aç›lan boyahane yok. Çünkü bu tip çev-

re kirleten fleyleri bizim gibi 3. dünya ülkelerine kayd›r›yorlar.

tement that boundaries are open; everyone is protecting its

country’s manufacturers. When the second hand machinery

decision was issued, German and Italian machinery manufac-

turers were the happiest ones. Because they had a market to

sell second hand machineries. They sold their old technology

to us and they replaced themselves with new machineries.

When we visited and spoke to the Minister; Countries like In-

dia, Pakistan and Bangladesh were the countries which were

the most disappointed ones when we issued this import tax.

The embassadors of these countries said “if you have this law

passed, than our 150.000 people will be unemployed.”

“We have to improve the infrastructure which can manufactu-

re textile technologies.”

This crisis is not over yet, the system in the world will be re-

structured. The renewal started with the finance sector and

now trade, money, regimes and structures are being renewed.

Boundaries do not change but

boundaries lost their meanings.

Turkey is in such a wonderful

location, it is in the heart of the

world. Due to the conflicts in

Middle East and Africa, orders

were directed to us. In addition,

mainly due to China, the low

quality of Far East countries

production caused to cancel or-

ders and these orders are also

directed to us.

Turkey is now at a very interes-

ting stage. This is a great op-

portunity. Besides, we need to

reach the point that we deserve

in terms of textile technologies and fashion trademark. On the

other hand, we have to improve the infrastructure which can

manufacture textile technologies. If you say that you will have

the parole in textile, then you should also have the parole in

textile technologies and machineries.

As you know, 2011 is the ITMA year but before ITMA we ha-

ve Texpo Eurasia; I believe that this exhibition will also be very

successful and our textile machinery manufacturers will do

better at ITMA. Because machineries we mainly sell are dye-

ing-finishing, accessories and chemicals. We went to ITMA in

Europe: visitors are European. There is no dyeing house ope-

ned in Europe in the last 10 years. Because they move this

kind of plants, which pollutes the environment, to 3r d w o r l d

countries like us. Visa is an important problem for countries to

na inan›yorum. Al›m heyetleri getirmek için TEMSAD olarak

çal›fl›yoruz.

‹stanbul’daki fuara gelmele-

rini sa¤layaca¤›z.

ITMA fuarlar› sektörün

Olimpiyat› say›l›yor.

1952’den beri yap›lan fuar-

lar›n bu y›l 60. y›l›. Kat›lmak

zorunday›z ama kendi ülke-

mizdeki fuarlar› diriltmek ve

Türkiye’yi fuar merkezi yap-

mak ad›na ne gerekiyorsa yapmam›z da gerekiyor.

ITMA fuarlar›n› Türk kat›l›mc›lar olarak biz yeniden belli bir

noktaya getirdik. fiu anda en büyük 4. kat›l›mc›y›z; ziyaretçi

olarak ise 1. s›raday›z. Bir dahaki ITMA’ya kadar 5 milyar do-

larl›k makine satacaklar bize. Bu yüzden Türk makine üreticile-

rini o fuarda istemiyorlar. Bize “siz rakibimizsiniz, ayak ba¤›

oluyorsunuz” diyorlar. Biz onlar› rahats›z ediyoruz ve bizi ka-

bul etmiyorlar.

Ancak bizim uluslararas› pazarda makineleri satmak için en

önemli alan›m›z fuarlar. Birlik ve beraberli¤imizi, gücümüzü

fuarlarda gösterebiliyoruz. Bu yüzden ITMA’da ‹smail Gülle/ ‹T-

K‹B, Adnan Dalgak›ran/ OA‹B, Halit Narin/ TTS‹S ve TEMSAD

birlikteli¤inde bir fleyler yaparak Türk tekstil ve makine sektö-

rünü tan›t›p en iyi flekilde temsil etmeye çal›flaca¤›z.

Bizim üretti¤imiz makineler genelde tekstilin üretildi¤i fabrika-

larda kullan›l›yor. ‹plik haz›rl›k, dokuma haz›rl›k, boya, bask› ve

terbiye makineleri ile bunlar›n yedek parça ve aksesuarlar›n›

üretiyoruz. Yedek parça konusu önemlidir çünkü makine bir

kere al›n›yor ama defalarca çal›flmaktan parçalar› y›pran›yor,

bozuluyor ve de¤ifltirilmesi gerekiyor; iflin en kritik yan› da

odur. fiimdi tekstilin üretici ülkeleri Do¤u’dur. Avrupa ilk üre-

tici olarak 70’li y›llarda bunu Türkiye’ye verdi, 30 sene Türkiye

kayma¤›n› yedi, flimdi Do¤u’ya do¤ru gidiyor: ‹ran, Bangladefl,

visit Europe. That’s why Texpo Eurasia is important. This exhi-

bition will be organized with ITM 2012 next year. In terms of

textile machineries and textile technologies, we have to co-

operate. We have to take them to the point they deserve.

That’s why I believe that the exhibition in May is important for

us. As TEMSAD we work hard to bring buying groups.

Countries like Iran, Jordan, Syria, Bangladesh and Pakistan are

the places where we sell machineries. The first 5 countries:

Iran, Egypt, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Uzbekistan. Visitors from

these countries will not be

able to visit ITMA. That’s

why we will make them co-

me to Istanbul to Texpo Eu-

rasia.

ITMA exhibitions are regar-

ded as the Olympics of the

industry. This is the 60th

anniversary of the exhibiti-

ons being held since 1952.

We have to participate but

we also have to do the best

to strengthen the exhibiti-

ons held in our country and

contribute to the develop-

ment of Turkey as an Exhibi-

tion Center.

As Turkish exhibitors, we

brought ITMA exhibition again at a certain point. At that time

we are the largest 4t h participants: in terms of visitors we are

the 1s t. Till next ITMA they will sell us machineries equivalent

to 5 billion dollars. That’s why they do not want Turkish exhi-

bitors in that exhibition. They tell us “you are our competitors,

you are under our feet”. We disturb them and they do not ac-

cept us. Whereas the most important field for us to sell our

machineries in the international market is exhibitions. We can

show our unity and solidarity and strength at exhibitions. At

ITMA we will do our best to introduce the Turkish Textile and

Machinery Industry with ‹smail Gülle/ ‹TK‹B, Adnan Dalgak›-

ran/ OA‹B, Halit Narin/ TTS‹S and TEMSAD. The machineries,

which we manufacture, are mainly used in plants where texti-

le is manufactured. We manufacture yarn preparation, wea-

ving preparation, dyeing, printing and finishing machineries

and spare parts and accessories. Spare parts issue is very im-

portant as a machine is bought for once and its parts are rui-

ned due to long time operation and they need to be replaced.

This is the most critical part of the job. Now the manufacturer

countries of textile are the East. Turkey maintained it position

for 30 years after Europe and now the wind goes to East: Co-

untries like Iran, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, China, Indonesi-

a and Vietnam are making textile investments. The textile in-

Pakistan, Hindistan, Çin, Endonezya, Vietnam gibi ülkelerde

tekstil yat›r›mlar› art›yor. Tekstil sanayi, yat›r›m konusunda ta-

r›m ve turizmden sonra en kolay sektördür. ‹fl alan› ve istihdam

olana¤› sa¤l›yor. Bizim gibi yo¤un genç nüfus ve geliflmekte

olan ülkeler için vazgeçilmezdir. Bu yüzden tekstili b›rakama-

y›z. Bu ülkede onun yerine ikame edebilece¤imiz baflka bir ifl

alan› yok.

¤iniz sürece gelece¤iniz nokta budur.”

Türkiye’nin ithalat›na bak›n. ‹thal etti¤imiz makineleri burada

yapabilirsek, olay tamamd›r. Kriz döneminde çok fazla flirket

evlili¤i diyebilece¤imiz ortakl›klar, sat›fllar gerçekleflti. Bizde

flirket iflbirlikleri de¤il, flirket ayr›l›klar› oldu. 30-40 sene çal›fl›p

didiniliyor, bir yerlere geliyorlar, sonra da ayn› aile içinde bile

ayr›l›p baflka flirketlere bölünebiliyorlar.

Tekstilde temel teknoloji de¤iflmez; ipli¤in bir e¤rilme sistemi

var, dokuma sistemi var, örme sistemi var. Boya aprenin de

kendi içinde bir sistemi var. Bu makinelerin kontrol mekaniz-

malar›, verimlili¤i, kapasitesi art›r›larak belli bir noktaya gelini-

yor. Yani onun flote oran› düflürülüyor, enerji kullan›m› düflü-

rülüyor, devir h›z› ve verimi art›r›l›yor, çevreye verdi¤i zarar dü-

flürülüyor. Makineler üzerinde yap›lan bu tip de¤iflikliklere tek-

noloji deniliyor; bu da ar-ge ile oluyor. Avrupal› makine üreti-

cilerinin bu konularda s›k›nt› içinde olduklar›n› biliyorum. Ama

bizim de, yapamad›¤›m›z makineyi yapan firmay› Türkiye’ye

nas›l kazand›rabilece¤imizi bulmam›z gerekiyor. 19 tane oto-

mobil üreten firma varsa, baflka bir otomotiv üreticisine daha

gidip yat›r›m yapamaya ça¤›raca¤›na, git dokuma makinesi

üreticisi firmalara “gel bende üretim yap” de. 19 firma varken

20.yi getirmeye çal›flaca¤›na, dünyan›n en önemli tekstil tek-

nolojisi üreticisi markalar›n› getir. Avrupa’da kapanan firmalar-

la flirket evlilikleri yapabilseydik, ar-ge üslerini firmalar gelip

burada kursalard›, teknoloji üreticileri de burada tesis açsalar-

d› her fley çok daha farkl› olurdu. Bir flekilde Türkiye dokuma

tezgah› üretmedi¤i sürece, komple iplik üretim sistemi gelifltir-

medi¤i sürece tekstil makineleri sektöründe d›flar›ya ba¤›ml›l›-

¤›m›z sürecektir. ‹thalat kalemlerine bak›n, o makineleri bura-

da üretmedi¤iniz, üretmeye teflvik etmedi¤iniz, üretime destek

vermedi¤iniz sürece gelece¤iniz nokta budur ve biz Avrupal›

firmalar›n oyunca¤› olarak kal›r›z. Zaman›nda bu makinelerin

üretimi için çal›flmalar yapan firmalar olmufl ama gerekli deste-

¤i görmedikleri için maalesef yar›m b›rakm›fllar. Bu yüzden

flimdi ithalat rakamlar›m›z, ihracat rakamlar›m›z›n çok üstün-

de. Biz kaç firma u¤rafl›p ihracat yap›yoruz, bir tek firma doku-

ma makinesi sat›p ayn› rakaml›k ithalat› gerçeklefltiriyor.

Bugün 1 tane hal› dokuma tezgah› 1,5 m i l y o n Euro’ya al›n›yor.

Gaziantep’te bu makineden 800 adet var. Bize yapt›¤› hal› do-

kuma makinesi ithalat›yla Belçika, en büyük tekstil makine ih-

racatç›s› ülkeler aras›nda listeye girdi.

dustry is the second easiest industry in terms of investment af-

ter agriculture and tourism. It provides employment and busi-

ness fields. Thus it is indispensible for countries like us having

young population. That’s why we cannot leave textile. We do

not have another industry to replace textile.

“Look at imported items. Unless we do not manufacture these

machineries, this is the point we will reach.”

Look at Turkey’s import. If we can manufacture the machine-

ries we import, here in Turkey, then the problem will be sol-

ved. During the crisis period many companies merged but we

split up. Family companies working hard for 30-40 years may

be divided and then new companies may arise. The funda-

mental technology in textile doesn’t change: yarn is twisted in

a system, weaving has a system, knitting has a system. Dyeing

and finishing also has a system. Energy consumption is dec-

reased, spin speed is increased and fertility is increased. Modi-

fications performed on machineries are called technology.

And this can only be achieved by R&D. I know that European

machinery manufacturers have problems in these issues. But

we must find a way to have a company manufacturing the mac-

hineries we import. If there are 19 automotive manufacturer

companies, there is no need to call another automotive manu-

facturer to invest here. It is better to call a weaving machinery

company and ask him to manufacture here. What’s the point to

try to bring the 20th automotive manufacturer company? It is

better to bring the world’s most important textile technology

manufacturers. If we could merged with companies which closed

in Europe, if companies brought their R&D departments here, if

these technology manufacturers opened plants here, everything

would be different. Unless Turkey manufactures weaving looms

anyhow, unless complete yarn production system is developed,

our dependence to other countries for textile machinery industry

will continue. Look at imported items. Unless you do not manu-

facture these machineries, you do not encourage people to ma-

nufacture them, this is the point we will reach and we will stay

as toys of European countries. Previously there were companies

who attempted to invest to manufacture these machineries but

as they did not receive any support they had to quit. That’s why

our import figures are higher than our export figures. Several

companies try hard to export, but only one company imports one

weaving machinery and performs an import figure equivalent to

our export figure. Today 1 carpet weaving loom worth 1,5 milli-

on Euros. There are 800 of this machinery in Gaziantep. With the

carpet weaving machineries exportation made to us, Belgium is

listed among the largest textile machinery exporter countries.

the import increased by 136%.”

TIM’s President Mehmet Büyükekfli announced the export tar-

2023 ihracat hedefi için T‹M Baflkan›m›z Mehmet Büyükekfli, 545

milyar dolar dedi. Ben basit bir esnaf›m. Kasama kaç para girece-

¤ini hesaplay›p kaç para ç›kaca¤›na bakmazsam, küçük bir bak-

kal dükkan› bile çal›flt›r›yor olsam batar›m. fiu anda %70 cari aç›k

ve 500 milyar dolar ihracat dersen, 850 trilyon ithalat var demek-

tir. Cari aç›k 2023’e kadar çok daha fazla olacak. Ak›ll› ve man-

t›kl› olmak gerekiyor. Bence ihracat rakam› koyaca¤›n›za, önce

cari a盤› kapatmam›z gerekiyor. Makine sektörümüz ne kadar ih-

racat yap›yor; 10 milyar dolar. 22-23 milyar dolar ithalat yap›yor.

Makine sektörünün toplam ticaret hacmi 25-30 milyar dolar civa-

r›nda. 2023 y›l›nda makine

sektörünün ihracat›n› 10 mil-

yar dolardan 100 milyar dola-

ra ç›kartaca¤›z. Bu arada

tekstil makinelerinin makine

sektöründeki durumuna ba-

k›yoruz: 100 milyar dolarl›k

bir hedefte, %3’lük pay›m›z

var yani 3 milyar dolar ihracat

gerçeklefltirmemiz bekleni-

yor. Bu öyle birkaç makine

teknesi satmakla ulafl›lacak

bir rakam de¤il. Tekstil maki-

ne sektörünün dünyadaki bo-

yutlar›na bakt›¤›m›zda;

2008’den önce 28 milyar do-

lard›. Krizde 25 milyar dolara

düfltü. Bunun en büyük teks-

til makine al›c›s› Çin, en büyük sat›c› Almanya; tekstil makine gi-

riflinde Türkiye 4. ülke, makine ihracat›nda ise 18. s›raday›z. Bun-

lar›n yeri de¤iflti¤i zaman, hedefimiz anlam kazan›r. Bunu yap-

mak zor de¤il. Ben Cumhuriyet’in 100. y›l›nda 70 milyar dolar

tekstil üretecek ülkenin 7-8 milyar dolarl›k ithalat yap›lacak maki-

nenin 3 milyarl›k k›sm›n› burada kendim üreteyim. Bana bunun

önünü açs›nlar. Kendi kendime yetebilecek bir ortam oluflturmaz-

sam, bir ifle yaramaz. ‹stenilen hedefe ulaflabilmem için, 12 y›l bo-

yunca hiç gerilemeden %25 büyümeyle devam etmem gerekiyor.

Ancak o zaman istenilen rakam› yakalayabiliyorum.

Ama her y›l %25’lik büyüme çok büyük bir miktar. Her y›l ekono-

minin %7-8’lik büyümesi bile çok büyük s›k›nt›lara sebep veriyor.

Tekstil makinelerinde geçen seneki ithalat art›fl›, %136 oldu.

2009’da 476 milyon dolar, 2010’da 1 milyar 50 milyon dolar. ‹h-

racat %6 oran›nda büyürken, ithalat %136 artt›. Bu y›l tekstilde

yap›lan yat›r›mlarla bu rakam daha da artar. %60 civar› art›flla 1,5

milyar dolarl›k makine al›n›r.

get for 2023 as 545 billion dollars. I am simple tradesman. If I

do not calculate how much I will earn and how much I will

pay, then I will go bankrupt. The current account deficit is

now 70% and if you say 500 billion dollars of export then it

means that there is 850 trillion dollars of import. The current

account deficit will be more by 2023. We have to be wise and

logic. How much does our machinery industry export? 10 bil-

lion dollars. It imports 22-23 billion dollars.

The total volume of the machinery industry is 25-30 billion

dollars. By 2023, we will increase the machinery industry’s ex-

port figures to 100 billion dollars from 10 billion dollars.

Turkish Exporters Assembly announced its target for 2023 as

545 billion dollars and 100 billion dollars is expected to be re-

alized by machinery in-

dustry.

3% of this figure, that is to

say 3 billion dollars is expec-

ted from Turkish Textile

technology manufacturers.

This is not a figure which

can be achieved by selling a

few machineries. When we

have a look at the dimensi-

ons of the textile machinery

industry in the world; it was

28 billion dollars before

2008. It recessed to 25 billi-

on dollars in the crisis. The

largest buyer is China while

Germany is the largest sel-

ler; Turkey ranges as the 4th

in terms of textile machi-

nery importation and ranges the 18th in machinery exports. If

we can change the sequence of them, then our target may be

meaningful. This is not hard to do this. At the 100th anniver-

sary of the Republic, I will manufacture the part equivalent to

3 billion dollars on my own. I wish they could let me do this.

If I cannot create an environment which will be sufficient for

me, it would not help. So that I can achieve my target, I have

to grow by 25% annually for 12 years without any recession.

Then I can only achieve the figure they ask from me. But a

growth of 25% annually is very high. Each year, event a

growth of 7-8% causes very big problems.

Last year the import of textile machineries increased by 136%.

In 2009 it was 476 million dollars while in 2010 it was 1,5 bil-

lion dollars. Exports increased only by 6% while imports in-

crease by 136 %.

This year, this figure will increase due to new textile invest-

ments and with an increase of 60%, a machinery equivalent

of 1,5 billion dollars can be purchased.

geldi¤ini hat›rlatan Büyükekfli, “Ayn› zamanda ev sahibi say›l›r›m.

Türkiye’ye ihracat› ö¤reten sektörün gecesindeyiz” dedi. Büyü-

kekfli, ihracat›n ilk 3 ayda yüzde 21 oran›nda art›¤›n› hat›rlatarak,

2011 y›l› için 127 milyar hedef koyduklar›n›, ancak gösterdikleri

performansla 2008 y›l›nda ulafl›lan 132 milyar dolar ihracat raka-

m›na ad›m ad›m yaklaflt›klar›n aç›klad›.

racatç›lar› Birli¤i (‹HK‹B) Baflkan› Hikmet Tanr›verdi konuflmas›n-

da sektörün dünya ekonomilerine örnek haline geldi¤ini söyle-

di. Tanr›verdi, “Global kriz sürecinde dramatik olaylarla günde-

me gelmesine karfl›n son dönemde güçlü bir ç›k›fl yakalayan

sektörümüz, önüne 2023 y›l› için 60 milyar dolar hedef koydu”

Büyükekfli informed that he is glad to be present at the

award ceremony for the industry having an export target of

500 billion dollars by 2023. Mr.Büyükekfli reminded that he

used to deal with leather industry and added “I may be re-

garded as the host. We are at the night of an industry which

taught exports to Turkey”. Mr.Büyükekfli pointed out that ex-

ports increased by 21% in the first 3 months and that the ex-

port target for 2011 is 127 billion dollars, whereas they get

step by step close to the export figures of 2008, which worth

132 billion dollars.

6-7 Nisan 2011 tarihlerinde Ho Chi Minh City’de düzenlenen

“Vietnam Tekstil Endüstrisi için Alman Teknolojisi” konferans›

ve fuar›na Vietnam tekstil endüstrisinden 300’ün üzerinde fir-

ma temsilcisi kat›ld›. Yetkililerin yan› s›ra teknisyenler de azal-

t›lm›fl enerji tüketimi ve hammadde kullan›m›n›n ekonomik

yollar› gibi konularda etkin tekstil üretimi için son teknoloji

trendleri hakk›nda bilgilendirildi. Alman VDMA Tekstil Maki-

ne Birli¤i taraf›ndan düzenlenen iki günlük konferans›n tema-

s› “baflar›l› ifl için yenilik”ti ve resmi olarak Ekonomi & Tekno-

loji Bakanl›¤›’n›n yan› s›ra Ho Chi Minh City’deki AGTEK, Teks-

ded the conference and exhibition “German Technology for the Viet-

namese Textile Industry” that took place on 6 and 7 April 2011 in Ho

Chi Minh City. Decision makers as well as textile technicians informed

themselves about the latest technology trends for efficient textile pro-

duction, e.g. in terms of reduced energy consumption and the eco-

nomical way of using raw material. The two-day conference, themed

“Innovation for successful business” and initiated by the German

VDMA Textile Machinery Association, was officially supported by the

Ministry of Economics & Technology as well as by AGTEK, the Asso-

ciation of Textile and Apparel in Ho Chi Minh City.

are abolished mutually between Turkey and Middle East Countries and

with the effect of the amendments in free trade agreements several vis-

itors visited the exhibition.

Örgü, dokuma, ev tekstili, denim ve teknik tekstil alanlar›nda

üretim yapan firmalarda da TTM markal› ram makineleri per-

formans, dayan›kl›l›k, enerji maliyeti ve sat›fl sonras› teknik hiz-

met anlam›nda fark›n› kan›tlad›.

Has Group ve TTM firmas› yetkilileri, ram makinesi yat›r›m›

timleri ve di¤er ilgili veriler toplan›yor ve Ar-Ge bölümü gelifl-

tirme çal›flmalar›na devam ediyor.

Tasar›m› tamamlanan bu yeni ram makinesi tamamen kullan›-

c›lar›n uzun y›llar di¤er markal› ram makinelerinden edindi¤i

tecrübelerinin, TTM, Ar-Ge bölümü ile ortak çal›flmas›n›n so-

nucudur. ‹lk makineden, bugün üretimi devam eden en son

makineye kadar yine müflteri beklentileri ve de¤iflen teknoloji-

del stenter machines performance one to one. Results were

surprising for them as for the energy saving or with the mea-

ning of production capacity and TTM brand stenter ma c h i n e s

have exhibited a performance that was exceeding their expec-

t a t i o n s . Besides, approximately 75 TTM brand stenter machi-

nes operating in Turkey has been a good reference for Ratti

Company authorities planning investment. TTM brand new

generation stenter machines are not only operating in Turkey

but they are also present in Iran, Syria, Bangladesh, India, Rus-

sia and Indonesia. TTM brand stenter machines have also pro-

ved their difference in terms of performance, durability, and

energy cost and after-sales technical services to companies

manufacturing in the field of knitting, weaving, home textile,

denim and technical textiles. “Please come and let’s test the

working values, production capacity and energy costs of the

machine with your technical team”. Has Group and TTM co m-

pany representatives request this from their companies plan-

ning to invest in stenter machine. The company representati-

ves want to inform the reason and grounds of this trust to

their customers in full details.In fact, these results were not

surprising for TTM personnel at all. As Teknik Tekstil Makine,

during the period when we took the decision for the produc-

tion of stenter machine, we determined most successful and

failed sides of the entire stenter machines existing in the world

by making a very sensitive and detailed R & D work and in the

result of the long-run works, a machine was designed to be

able to respond to the expectations of the textile industry.

Even today, production capacities, energy consumptions and

other relevant data are collected for TTM brand stenter ma c-

hines and for the other stenter machines and R&D Depart-

ments continues their development works. With its completed

design, this new stenter machine is entirely the result of the

experiences of the users obtained from other brans stenter

machines for many years and it is also the common work of

to the latest machine with it’s ongoing production, there ha-

ve been developments applied together with the expectations

of the customers and changing technologies and these deve-

lopments have also been applied to the existing TTM br a n d

stenter machines as well. The productions of Ram-X mo d e l

stenter machines have started in the year of 2007 and they

continue to be the stenter machines preferred in Turkey and

also in many countries which are the sentres of the textile in-

dustry and it has also taken it’s place within the structure of

Marzotto Group, Ratti S.p.A of Italy which is the textile capi-

tal of Europe. Currently, there is another order given to TTM

Company for the second machine by the authorized persons

of the company right after machine’s proving itself regarding

its performance.

Has Group Italy Representative Office started it’s activities

Has Group sustains the sales and after sales service activities

of Has/Lafer Turk and TTM brand textile machines in more

than 20 countries through it’s commercial representatives and

as of the date of 1 March 2011, it has opened its Europe Rep-

resentation Office. Has Trade, which is another group com-

pany accomplishing it’s activities in the structure of Has group

for many years, is the Europe based supply office of the gro-

up companies and it manages the procurements of the entire

raw materials, commercial materials from the suppliers taking

place in Europe and delivers them to MT, TTM and Lafer Turk

companies which are the production units. Along with Has

Trade Company, Milan based representation office Has Italy

started it’s activities again for the group companies for their

activities taking place in Europe textile sector. Roberto Maria

specially an expert for Woven and Denim fabrics finishing lines

and during the recent period, he has made an indelible im-

pression with his developed projects for the sanfor processes

of the woven and knitted fabrics. Sanforizing machine pro-

duction has started under Has / Lafer Turk brand for the finis-

hings of the woven fabrics and at the same time, the projects

are getting developed as TTM (Teknik Tekstil Makine) for wo-

As companies try to create a competitive edge in today’s crowd-

ed global marketplace, some tend to emphasise their services,

while others focus on price and efficiency. But, in the end, they

all pursue the same goals essential to long-term sales growth and

profitability: to differentiate themselves and provide value to cus-

tomers. Supply chain innovation can provide customers value by

improving efficiency, ensuring reliable supply, and enabling com-

petitive pricing. The strategies outlined in this article show how

my company, Dow Corning, maximised manufacturing capacity

and reduced costs, while giving customers the products, pricing

and convenience they wanted via our web-enabled Xiameter ®

business model.

The first strategy foundational to the model is having clear busi-

ness rules that create built-in efficiencies. One of these rules stip-

ulates mandatory order lead-time requirements. Required lead

times are based on our stocking and make-to-order strategies.

Customers have become very accustomed to lead times, and the

number of late shipments is reduced – a win-win for both.

Another business rule that has improved efficiency in the supply

chain is minimum order requirements. In many cases, full pallets

are a required minimum and multiple of ordering from xiame-

ter.com. The efficiencies that this has created have allowed us

the ability to sell at more competitive market-based prices. While

this approach doesn’t directly fit all customer needs, our global

distribution network provides flexibility for customers who need

portation consolidation and standardization. Minimum-order

quantities promote efficient use of warehouse space through

full-cube utilisation. Similarly, prices are quoted based on logical

and efficient shipping quantities of a single product for a single

ship date. In addition, companies that can find a way to stan-

dardise products and processes can generate significant savings

Our third strategy is empowered by information technology. The

ability to reach customers online and incentivise them through

special prices and offers allows us to manage demand according

to available supply, and to react quickly to changing market con-

ditions. In exchange for compliance with the business rules, cus-

tomers benefit from competitive, market-based pricing and the

convenience of online ordering. The business model’s ease of

use has been a major factor in customer acceptance. Customers

can check prices, source product information, place orders, and

check order status and histories 24/7. Some customers place

orders at night or early in the morning, so they appreciate the

ability to order at any time or from any location.

Just seconds after a purchaser places an order, confirmation of

the price and quantity is provided, along with the freight terms,

credit terms and ship date, which is based on current supply

capability. There is no need to call a customer service represen-

tative, fax an order, or wait for a response. Most paperwork has

been eliminated, since all related product and delivery documen-

tation is on the website, and the IT platform automatically sends

electronic order confirmations, notices of shipment, customs and

duties information, and invoicing. Xiameter brand customers

can benefit from price protection on their orders, which can be

placed up to 90 days in advance. Because prices are market-

based, customers can lock in prices that may be lower today than

in the future. If customers need standard silicones, limited or no

technical service, and can plan their material needs in advance,

this business model works effectively to address their require-

ments. Customers who want Xiameter brand products but need

extensive technical support or customised services can purchase

through a distributor.

In March, the first sleep comfort quality label for children's sleep-

ing bags was awarded to the company ARO® Artländer. Jörg

Fricke of the Hohenstein Institute in Bönnigheim presented the

label to Managing Director Karl Rosenstengel in person. The test

results were impressive - the children's sleeping bag that was

tested was awarded the mark 1.1 (very good) for sleep comfort,

at a sleeping temperature of 18 °C or more. The children's sleep-

ing bag produced by ARO® Artländer was tested against three

criteria: thermal insulation, breathability and the buffer effect

during light perspiration. The thermal insulation of the sleeping

bag was tested with the help of the thermal articulated manikin

"Charlene". This provides information about how well the sleep-

ing bag insulates the child from the cooler ambient temperature.

The children's sleeping bag is designed for an average climate,

that is to say an ambient temperature of 18 °C or more, since the

temperature in bedrooms rarely drops below that even in winter.

Breathability is particularly important for children's bedding - at

Hohenstein it is tested using what is called a skin model, which

provides information about how quickly perspiration in the form

of vapour passes through the material to the outside. In addition

to the breathability, the buffer effect also ensures that it stays

nice and dry in the sleeping bag even during light perspiration.

Only if the temperature in the sleeping bag is comfortable can

children enjoy a restful night's sleep.

12-15 Nisan 2011’de düzenlenen dünyan›n önde gelen uluslara-

ras› nonwoven buluflmas› Index 2011 Fuar›, 12. 670 ziyaretçisi ve

dünya çap›nda 43 ülkeden 530 firman›n kat›l›m› ile toplamda

50.000 m2’lik fuar alan›n› dolduran net 21.600 m2 alanda gerçek-

lefltirildi. EDANA taraf›ndan organize edilen Index 2011 Fuar›’n›n

gördü¤ü yo¤un ilgi nedeniyle, daha fazla kat›l›mc›y› misafir ede-

bilmek amac›yla fuar alan› geniflletildi. Index 2011; özel etkinlik-

ler, interaktif çal›flma atölyeleri ve e¤itici dersler eflli¤inde sayg›

uyand›ran bir etkinlik program› ile gerçekleflti.

Vision 2020 Lansman›

EDANA, ayn› zamanda Vision 2020 olarak isimlendirilmifl bir

programda nonwovenlar›n gelece¤i ve ilgili endüstri üzerine

müflterek çal›flmas›n› da lanse etti. Bu program önümüzdeki

10 y›l için, üye ülkelerin f›rsatlar› ve zorluklar› görmesine

destek vermek üzere, piyasa uzmanlar› ve fütüristlerce gelifl-

t i r i l di.

530 exhibitors, from 43 countries from all around the

world,occupying over 21,600 m2 of net stand space, filling

5 0 , 0 0 0 m2 of exhibition halls. A month before Index 11, the

exhibition space has been extended to be able to welcome

more exhibitors. The world’s leading nonwovens exhibition,

held in Geneva and was accompanied by a compelling prog-

ramme of activities, including special events, interactive work-

shops and education sessions.

Vision 2020 Launch

EDANA also publicly launched its joint study on the future of the

nonwovens and related industry, in a programme titled Vision

2020. Aimed at supporting member companies identify the

challenges and opportunities in the coming 10 years, it was de-

veloped with support from futurists and market experts.

Index 2011 Uluslararas› Nonwovan Fuar›, dünya çap›nda 530 kat›l›mc› ile 12-15 Nisan 2011tarihlerinde, Cenevre-‹sviçre’de düzenlendi.

Uluslararas› Teknik Tekstil ve Nonwoven Ürünler Fuar›, 24 - 26

May›s 2011 tarihleri aras›nda Frankfurt’ta yap›l›yor. Techtextil

2011’le eflzamanl› olarak, 16. Uluslararas› Techtextil Sempozyu-

mu ve 6. Uluslararas› Avantex Sempozyumu da düzenleniyor. Bu

y›l, 24-27 May›s 2011 tarihlerinde gerçeklefltirilen Texprocess

Uluslararas› Tekstil ve Esnek Malzeme Ürünleri ‹flleme Fuar›, Tech-

textil ile beraber düzenleniyor.

Techtextil 2009

2009 y›l›nda yap›lan fuar, 43 ülkeden toplam 1.201 kat›l›mc› fir-

ma ve 85 ülkeden 23.300 ziyaretçi ile önemli bir kat›l›ma imza at-

t›. Türkiye’den fuar› ziyaret edenlerin say›s› 500’ün üzerindeydi.

Techtextil 2011’in kay›t say›s›ndaki rakamlar, 2011’in daha da

baflar›l› geçece¤ini gösteriyor. Aral›¤›n sonundan itibaren

2009’da kullan›lan %90’dan fazla fuar alan› flimdiden sat›ld›. Ay-

11th Student Competition on 'Textile Structures for New Bu-

ilding is designed to identify innovative thinking and innova-

tive solutions to problems, featuring construction projects ca-

pable of concrete realisation which use textiles or textile-re-

inforced materials The competition will be run under the pro-

fessional and technical supervision of Prof. Dr. Dr. E.h. Wer-

ner Sobek, Institute of Light Construction Design and Buil-

ding (ILEK), University of Stuttgart. All award winning pro-

jects will be exhibited at the special exhibition area at Tech-

textil 2011.

TensiNet Association donated 8.000 Euro for this student

competition.

For the first time this year Techtextil will be organized simulta-

neously with Texprocess, Leading International Trade Fair for

Processing Textile and Flexible Materials and for the second time

tions, is presenting at Techtextil various samples and applications

woven on the robust VTR42 weaving machine. The VTR42 for

technical fabrics is a double rapier weaving machine with Dobby-

tronic, integrated gear boxes, rigid rapiers, and suitable for diffe-

rent pile materials. The VTR42 also exists in jacquard execution.

2011 edition of Techtextil, which will take place next May in

Frankfurt, will see a strong presence of Italian manufacturers of

textile machinery. About 40 Italian builders of textile machines

will be in Frankfurt showing the most innovative technological

solutions for the textile companies involved in technical textiles

and nonwovens sector. ACIMIT (the Association of Italian Textile

Machinery Manufacturers) and the Italian Trade Commision ha-

ve organized a Meeting Point (stand nr. 3.0 B08). It will host 12

Italian machinery manufacturers involved in the production of

machines for technical textiles. Among these companies the fol-

lowing ones are ACIMIT members: Bonino, Gemata, Saspe, Sta-

lam, Comez Gestioni, Nuova Protex, Bettarini&Serafini, Ratti Lui-

no. Technical textiles and nonwovens are a reality which is gai-

ning importance in terms of size, thanks to the technological fe-

atures of its products and to its continuous offer of new and pro-

mising market niches. About 120 Italian manufacturers, offering

machinery for the production of technical textiles and nonwo-

vens, realizing a growing turnover in this segment. Besides the

Meeting Point in Frankfurt the activity of ACIMIT and the Italian

Trade Commission to promote a stronger partnership among Ita-

lian providers of technology and textile companies involved in

the production of nonwovens and technical textiles includes for

2011 two technological seminars in China (scheduled in Suzhou

French textile machinery manufacturers are often world leaders on

their specialties. Their stra-

tegy is to offer tailor made

solutions to solve custo-

mers’ needs and be their

long term partners. This

strategy is particularly fit-

ted to the nonwovens and

technical textiles sectors in

which the machinery ma-

nufacturers are really in-

tegrated. This is how new

markets for the technical

textiles can be opened.

Thanks to this strategy,

France is the 6th machi-

nery exporter, particularly strong in weaving preparation, nonwo-

vens, spinning, and finishing machinery. The total turnover is slight-

ly over 1 billion Euros (1.3 billion US$), nearly all of it being expor-

ted all over the world. These markets are complex and limited in si-

ze. Not to work on technology innovations behind the closed doors

of the machinery manufacturers’ laboratories but very closely with

the customers to understand their needs and offer them solutions

is particularly important for the technical textile applications which

require real partnerships to design the specific technologies to pro-

duce new marketable end products. Since last Techtextil in 2009,

High flexible Copolyester adhesives: The newly developed high fle-xible Griltex Copolyesters are suitable for textiles with soft touch aswell as for technical applications with high bonding requirements.These Copolyesters are available in a melting range from 115 °C to150 °C. New Griltex Copolyesters from Ems-Griltech are used tobond smooth surfaces such as aluminium or other metals, as well asPET. The flexible character of these adhesives can compensate or mi-nimize the tension between substrates with different expansion co-efficients. The Copolyesters are available with different viscosities inthe melting range of 120 °C to 150 °C. The Wefttronic® raschel machine with magazine weft insertion

mainly produces grid-like and full-width warp-knitted fabrics

sub-upholstery, seven-zone mattress components, which are al-

so produced on the HighDistance® machine, and functional, se-

amless sportswear, which can be produced in a wide range of

different styles and at a high production rate on the DJ series of

machines. Karl Mayer’s innovative machine technology not only

focuses on manufacturing textiles directly, but also on the preli-

minary stages. This company supplies the Multitens yarn tension

controller from the range it acquired from Benninger’s Weaving

Preparation Division, which can process technical yarns both

gently and efficiently. The Rot-O-Tens is another innovative pro-

duct for controlling the yarn tension. This is a motor-driven type

with an efficient energy recycling system, which helps to reduce

the amortisation period. Karl Mayer’s clients can rely completely

on the Opt-O-Matic for producing warp beams for technical app-

lications. This warping machine produces uniform band circum-

ferences at high operating speeds, even when processing extre-

mely sensitive yarns. Visitors to Techtextil 2011 can expect clearly

laid-out exhibits, detailed information and knowledgeable con-

versations about this wide and varied range of products. There-

fore, it is well worth paying a visit to Karl Mayer on stand B07 in

Kas›m 2010’da, Lindauer Dornier GmbH taraf›ndan gelifltirilen

yeni ORW teknolojisi, ilk defa 4.üncü Aachen- Dresden Ulusla-

raras› Tekstil Konferans›nda tan›t›ld›. “Dokuma sürecinde en-

tegrasyon iflleme sayesinde tekstil kumafllar›n›n üretiminde ye-

ni yol” konusunda Dr. Adnan Wahhoud, bu teknolojinin te-

mellerini, uygulama alanlar›n› ve son teknoloji Dornier hava-

jetli ve rapierli dokuma makinelerinde nas›l uygulamaya kon-

du¤unu aç›klad›. Dikifl (Stitch) dokuma, ev tekstilleri üretimi

için hava jetli dokuma makinesi üzerinde, multi-aksiyal doku-

ma ise teknik tekstiller için rapierli makine üzerinde tan›t›ld›.

In November 2010, the new ORW technology developed by

Lindauer Dornier GmbH was presented for the first time on

the occasion of the 4th Aachen-Dresden International Textile

Conference. On the subject of “New way of producing textile

fabrics thanks to process integration in the weaving procedu-

re”, Dr. Adnan Wahhoud explained the basics of this techno-

logy, its fields of application and how it was put into practice

on the latest generation of Dornier air-jet and rapier weaving

machines. Stitch weaving was presented on an air-jet weaving

machine for the production of home textiles, multiaxial wea-

ving on a rapier weaving machine for technical textiles. Prior

to the Techtextil 2011 which will take place an international

jury awarded this year’s Techtextil Innovation Prize in the ca-

tegory “New technologies” to Dr. Adnan Wahhoud, head of

the development department for air-jet weaving machines,

and his team of Lindauer Dornier GmbH for their Open Reed

Weave (ORW) technology. During the Techtextil, several

examples of application will be shown on a special exhibition

space (hall 3.0, booth D01).

Prior to the Techtextil 2011 which will take place an international jury awarded this year’s Techtextil Innovation Prize in the category “New technologies” to Dornier team.

Energy saving miracle Allma CC4

The Allma CC4 is a real energy saving miracle and another miles-tone in the energy efficiency programme e-save of Oerlikon Sau-rer. In fact, the Allma CC4 will revolutionise tire cord cabling inmany ways. The machine allows for energy savings of up to 50percent, depending on the yarn count and spindle type. At thesame time, the heat load is reduced by up to 50 percent. On theother side quality is significantly increased due to up to 50 per-cent less yarn breaks and, in addition, the noise level could beconsiderably reduced.

CLEANtube – Çepel ve k›sa elyaf birikmesizin fleridin kovaya

Cer makinesinde pamuk veya sentetik elyafla pamuk kar›fl›m› ifl-

ges of material on the drawframe. On the RSB-D 45 and SB-D 45

(without autoleveling) changes in delivery speed are made comfor-

tably via the frequency-controlled main drive at the push of a but-

ton on the machine display (Fig. 2).

This new drive solution saves time when setting the delivery speed

as well as reducing storage expenditure for drive discs. The produc-

tivity of the drawframe can also be coordinated precisely with the

needs of the following process stages. The well-conceived design of

the converter cooling system ensures the reliability of the drive even

at high ambient temperatures.

Flexibility due to rapid optimization of sli-

ver spacing in the can

Optimization of sliver coiling when chan-

ging the fiber material does not always

receive the necessary attention. The spa-

cing of the slivers in the can is an impor-

tant parameter in addition to setting the

coiler speed and the eccentricity of the

can relative to the coiler. For example, sli-

ver spacing “a” (Fig. 3) must be adjusted

on quality grounds when changing from

a combed, compact cotton sliver to a

bulky polyester sliver. On the SB-D 45

and RSB-D 45 the relevant change gear is

located ergonomically – close to the coi-

ler drive. This facilitates simple, rapid

changes in can rotation speed and thus

sliver spacing in the can, ensuring opti-

mum use of can capacity and faultless

sliver draw-off in downstream processing. The modified transmissi-

being filled, particles of dirt and short cotton fibers accumulate in

the sliver tube of the coiler. The drawframe stops when the can is

filled to capacity, and this accumulation of material, also known in

the industry as the “mouse”, comes to rest on the top layer of sli-

vers. The larger the trash or short fiber content of the cotton, the

larger the “mouse”. Operating personnel are usually instructed to

remove the “mouse” from the can manually. In the process the top

layers of sliver can be displaced, thus adversely affecting sliver qua-

lity. A half or whole layer of slivers is often removed in the process,

resulting in additional sliver waste of up to 20 meters of sliver per

can, corresponding to some 0.6% sliver waste. This “mouse” also

occurs during machine stoppages while the cans are being filled,

e.g. in the event of a sliver break in the roller infeed, and can-

not be removed manually. If the “mouse” is left in or on the

can, malfunctions in the subsequent process are inevitable. At

drafting output of 1 100 m/min with a sliver weight of Ne 0.10

and a can capacity of 15 kg, this results in some 200 000 cans

with corresponding potential for defects per year and drawfra-

me. Lower production efficiency in the subsequent process du-

e to more ends down and clearer cuts, as well as lower yarn

quality, can be the consequence. The new, optional CLEANtu-

be device solves this problem completely (Fig. 4). CLEANtube is

an intelligent coiler control system which prevents trash and

short fibers from accumulating in the sliver tube. CLEANtube

saves up to 300 hours of personnel effort expended on manu-

al removal of the “mouse”, as well as up to approx. 0.6% of

sliver waste, per year and drawframe. CLEANtube prevents up

to 200 000 defects per year and drawframe and thus mainta-

ins high production efficiency in downstream processing as

well as yarn quality. This is an option that pays off.

hine, ITEMA engineers focused on lowload weft insertion and

minimal warp loading. Available in ten machine widths from 170

cm to 360cm, the G6500 is the economically efficient way to a

quality product for every type of fabric. In the G6500, ergonomic

design and user-friendliness play a key role in achieving outstan-

ding results in production. Thanks to the low machine height and

its uncluttered design, all sub-units are easily accessible. The ma-

intenance- free direct drive transfers the torque directly to the

main shaft. Several functions are controlled by it, adjustment of

machine speed, shed levelling and pick finding. There are only a

few mechanical parts,

thus ensuring minimal

maintenance costs.

mum of deflections,

optimally coordinated motion sequences and low acceleration

values are three of the outstanding features of the G6500. The

low weft tension thus achieved make it the most reliable rapier

weaving machine available. With the electronic colour selector,

driven by a linear motor, the feed can be individually adjusted for

the yarn to be woven. Fancy yarns, coarse twists, elastic yarns,

Lurex, silk, wool and even fine cotton are reliably inserted in any

given mix with top performance. The ability to insert two wefts

simultaneously opens up a completely new dimension in patter-

ning and productivity. The quality of the fabric produced by the

G6500 is essentially a result of the low loading and the run of the

warp ends. The rear shed offers numerous setting options for

Horizontal compensation for the shedding motion ensures that

the set rear shed geometry is exactly maintained. This results in

minimal warp loading and optimal running characteristics for

every application. In addition, the electronic warp let-off, control-

led by force sensors, ensures constant warp tension from the full

The market of nonwovens bonded by water jet (also called

spunlace or hydroentanglement nonwovens) showed in the

last years a considerable growth rate and will also in future

grow strongly. These products are mainly used in the medical

and hygienic field but also the technical applications are get-

ting more and more important. The advantage of spunlace

nonwovens compared to the classical needle punched pro-

ducts is that the same specific characteristics can be often re-

ached with a lower quantity of fibres. This saves resources and

allows very high production speeds. And this is exactly the

point were BRÜCKNER's new machinery concept starts.

The new concept provides for

• a uniform drying across the fabric width by uniform applica-

tion of the thermal energy

• a uniform temperature distribution during the complete dry-

ing process due to finely tuned air circulation

The new flow-through dryer SUPRA-FLOW BH is a modular

system which is absolutely flexible, which can be enlarged

anytime and saves a lot of energy. It is characterized by the

typical alternating BRÜCKNER split-flow design which provides

for an absolute uniform air circulation around the fabric thro-

ughout the complete drying process. Also the temperature

distribution remains constant over the complete fabric length

and width. Even with high speeds there is a uniform level of

drying and residual moisture in the fabric. The reliable fabric

transport is ensured even with the lightest fabric qualities du-

e to a newly developed belt and air fixation of the fabric.

BRÜCKNER's patented Venturi nozzle which is installed in

every burner unit provides for an optimum mixture of circula-

ting and fresh air. Flow resistances are minimized which al-

lows considerable savings of energy. An additional reduction

of the energy consumption is possible due to the intelligent

heat recovery system. A control system for temperature, circu-

lating air and air humidity provides continuously for optimum

conditions in the interior of the dryer. A control system adap-

ting to the line speed is integrated into the line, too. This new

system has been installed by the end of last year for the first

time and has been successfully set into operation. The user

benefits with each meter of fabric from the constantly high

quality of his products and above all from the high profitabi-

lity of his line.
