Enabling Procurement, Asset Management/Financial Reporting

Enable Asset Management system to automate allocation of network assets to proper USOA accounting categories

Main Account – classification of network investment for general ledger entry purposes. (Eg. 2112 – Motor Vehicles, 2232 – Circuit Equipment.

Field Reporting Code – Indicate the type of location where equipment will be used. (eg. Digital Transmission Room, Cust. Premisis)

Equipment Category Number Identifies equipment by technology or service type. (eg. ATM Switch, DSL, SONET/SDH)

Continuing Property Record Number –tracks investments on capitalized assets from procurement to plant retirement. The Cost should be associated to the CPR.

Asset Identification - Equipment is delivered and the asset is identified using a CLEI Code

ID are analyzed to determine the circuits and facilities impacted by this failure. These are identified with CLCI & CLFI codes respectively.

• Customer faults can now be correlated with the alarm.

• The trouble can be routed to the appropriate work group based on the type circuit or facilities.

Ticket Dispatch

• NC/NCI codes stored with circuit information can be used for restoral of service.

• CLEI Code can be used to check inventory and identify interchangeable parts in the event that the exact item is unavailable.
