only garage in the area to offerMOTs on large motorhomes as wellas minibuses and vans.”He added: “We are still committed
to our 24-hour commercial vehiclerecovery service covering the UKand Europe. Our Commercial FleetCare facility offers MOT prepara-tion, servicing and safety inspec-tions.”MOT testing is a large part of
RSM’s operation and it is the onlytest centre in the area capable oftesting cars, light commercials,motorhomes and minibuses.The workshop has four lifts and
provides mechanical repairs and ser-
vicing for private and commercialvehicles of all makes and models.This includes refurbishing brake
discs with a Pro-Lathe, LPG conver-sions, supplying and fitting tyres toorder, installing clutches, wheel bal-ancing and air conditioning.

Rose Garrard has just published a lavishly-illustrated book bringing a fresh insightinto this hidden part of local history.Ms Garrard is perhaps best known for her
work creating water features such as theElgar memorial and Malvhina at Belle VueTerrace and the new wrought-iron gates atthe North Malvern clock tower.The new book, Donkeys’ Years on the
Malvern Hills, arose from the years ofresearch she did into the Water Cure andthe local springs and wells.She discovered that even before the

nied by a choice of two specialdishes, the lighter pre-theatremenu aims to give a quick, lightmeal without compromising onquality and the main evening menu
includes a selection of chargrilledmeat and fish.Popular dishes include hummus

growth of the medieval monasteries, fromthe influence of aristocratic benefactors tothe impact of the water-cure doctors onthe growth of modern Malvern, donkeysplayed a vital, but unsung, role inMalvern’s development as a spa town,”said Ms Garrard.The book explores the divisions between
the Victorian well-to-do classes and thosewho tended the donkeys and led them upand down the hills.It is also full of fascinating facts and sto-
ries about everything from the clock-towerto the old camera-obscura.One of the most attractive features of the
book is the illustrations, more that 200 ofthem, 70 in colour, many of which havenever been published before.The book is dedicated to Ms Garrard’s
brother, Dr Timothy Garrard, who died in2007 and whose legacy enabled its publica-tion.Donkeys’ Years on the Malvern Hills is
