Despite cold and windy conditions, more than 200 people attended Trout Day at Caudle Lake on Saturday.
"People were waiting when we opened an hour before what we had planned," said Wally Stewart who ' . helped organize the event.
And it wasn't just trout that were caught by the multitude of people who came to fish .
"Several fish, including trout, bass, catfish, bluegill , and even a carp were caught," said Kevin Reich, volunteer Angler Education area chief for Texas Department of Parks;) and Wildlife. He also helped organize the event.
"Sammy Ruiz of Hale Center took a stringer of three trout and three catfish," Stewart said. "A three pound bass was caught and released by Johnny Ruiz. He said he wahted'lb give someon€'else' a chance to catch him."
