IMPORTANT DATES
Saturday, September 10, Tenth Anniversary Memorial Event honoring the memory of the emergency
personnel who gave their lives during the September 11 attacks. Sponsored by the Arizona Law
Enforcement Emerald Society and the United Phoenix Firefighters Emerald Society.
September 10, 5:30 – 7:30 PM
Irish Cultural Center

(Hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages served after the ceremony.)
Saturday, October 8, “United in Service Food Drive.” Details in October 4 minutes
Saturday, October 15, Military Appreciation Day sponsored by Operation Marshmallow.

September 11 Memorial
As you may know, the Tenth Anniversary of the September 11th
attacks on the United States is approaching.
411 Police and Firefighters and Paramedics were killed in those attacks attempting to help those who had been
targeted in the attacks.
On Saturday, September 10th
, the Arizona Law Enforcement Emerald Society and the United Phoenix Fire
Fighters Emerald Society is hosting a memorial for those that gave the ultimate sacrifice on that day ten years
ago.
We would like to invite all the Law Enforcement, Fire Department and Emergency Responders, active duty or
retired, their friends and family to join us in remembering those that chose duty and honor in the face of almost
certain death on that unforgettable morning.
Please join us at the Irish Cultural Center, 1106 North Central, in Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, September 10th
at
5pm. The memorial will include Honor Guards, a large contingent of metro Phoenix Pipes and Drums, several
key note speakers including one of the rescue personnel from 9-11. Following the ceremony there will be free
hot dogs, hamburgers, and refreshments.
