Operating method

The CBF is a blast freezer that operates in cycles.Semi-automatic loading and unloading of the product.

Through an infeed fl ap the operator slides-in the meat pieces in the basket and pulls back the drawer. The transport chain then indexes by one cycle to the next basket.

The operator continually repeats this process. The control unit times the basket so that once the set time has elapsed (e.g. 8 minutes), the fi rst tempered products arrive back at the door and are discharged.

The meat pieces are inserted side-by-side into the basket and then rotated trough the tempering unit for 6 to 20 minutes, up to the setting of time.

The meat is then removed just before portioning.This results in a very thin crust of 2 to 3 mm (5 to 10 %) instead of 5 to 10 mm, which clearly increases the product quality.

The CBF cyclefreeze facilitates precise surface freezing for pieces of meat within a period of approx. 6-20 minutes, depending on size and temperature of the product - and all without the need for additional personnel.
