Working on foreign investments attraction

We are presently partner of one of the most important Italian platforms aimed to attract foreign investments:

• Invest in Tuscany – embedded in the Region authority/local government, at the moment the most

advanced example in Italy for attracting foreign investment in Tuscany; they also put in practice a customer care approach to help and support foreign companies already installed in the territory

• Formerly, many years of partnership also with Invest in Lombardy – they focus mainly on attracting foreign investments

Both entities have selected private partners, each of them with a specific competence (interim management in our case) and an international coverage

Support to foreign companies

We provide foreign companies with the managerial resources they may need

• to plan and implement international expansion overseas (acquisition of an Italian SME company, start up of an operation in Italy)

• in the originating country through our local partner for interim and permanent roles

Support for an acquisition

• Many SMEs could be targeted for an acquisition, but identify them in a very crowded and dispersed market may be difficult and time consuming for a foreign investor

• In a typical MBI situation, we can support a foreign investor in • identifying and selecting potential targets • performing the preliminary and evaluations • performing MANAGEMENT ASSESSMENT • acting as an advisors to build up an effective deal • interfacing between the parties until the closing

Support for an acquisition (cont.)

• In these situations the availability of local interim manager may bring substantial advantages to the acquiring foreign investor:

• availability of senior know how and expertise at variable costs • acceleration of the operational steps for closing the deal • creation of a positive interface between the local employees and management and the

new foreign ownership • guarantee of an easy and smooth adaptation to local laws and business habits • preparation of the hand over to a foreign manager (if planned)

Support for a start up

• In a situation where labour legislation constraints may discourage the opening of a start up, working with flexible resources may grant enough time to evaluate the long term sustainability of the start up company. This may be achieved through:

• an interim management team (initially even one manager) in charge of creating the new structure

• non-managerial resources may be also hired with interim contracts and staff leasing contracts: in order to have the proper know how we have an operational partnership with an interim specialized agency

• Once the acquisition/JV or the start up has been finalized, we can give ongoing support in the Human Resources area through
