Weʼll have Fish Tacos on February 19 followed by the “Best Fish Fry in Town” on February 26. ! St. Patrickʼs Day falls on a Thursday this year and we will, of course, celebrate with a Corned Beef and Cabbage meal prepared by everyoneʼs favorite Chef, Julie Kulas! Itʼs on March 17 from 5pm-7pm. If youʼre feeling the luck of the Irish that day, go ahead and try our pull tabs and raffles! ! Enjoy the 3rd Annual Easter Breakfast on Saturday, March 26, the day before Easter. The Easter Bunny has cleared his schedule to visit with gifts for the kids! Look for a new and improved breakfast menu to celebrate Easter. If you are willing to help serve the meals or clean off tables we promise you a private audience with the Easter Bunny! Let Maggie know if you can help.

House Committee Report! 2015 ended on an even better note than 2014. Our sales increased by $20,000 and our final profits were almost 4 times what they were in 2014. The checkbook balance is $4,000 healthier and the insurance savings is $3,000 ahead of last year. Thanks goes to Dustin and his staff and all the volunteers who make the VFW a great destination for food and events.! There is still money from gambling to use before summer for improvements to the kitchen and hall. The dishwasher has started to have problems so Dustin will contact Hobart to see what costs will be involved in fixing it. We will use the rest of the money to start replacing chairs in the hall. ! The county completed the yearly kitchen and bar area inspection at the end of December and we passed with flying colors once again. They offered us a couple of suggestions for improvements which we always appreciate to help us continually improve our food service operations.
