TENG Southern California 2017
Call for Speakers
The Technology Executives Networking Group of Southern California (TENG SoCal) is the local
Chapter of a national community of 8000+ selected Chief Information Officers (CIO), Chief
Technology Officers (CTO), Vice Presidents (VP) and Directors of Technology. We cohost events
and provide speakers for our local chapter, Financial Executives Networking Group (FENG) of
Southern California, Executives Next Practices (ENP), Venture Capitalists, Private Equity and many
other events throughout Southern California.
Our program committee is inviting IT leaders across Southern California to submit their capabilities
and become one of SoCal TENG’s next thought leaders. We are looking for speakers who will equip
our audience with expert guidance and actionable takeaways that will resonate long after the event
has ended. If you believe you have material that will challenge and inspire Southern California’s
Technology Executive community, we encourage you to submit your background today!
How it works
Submit an abstract to be reviewed by our Program Committee, comprised of community members
from a wide variety of organizations. As you craft your abstract, please consider the following
elements:
1. Relevance - The topic presented is closely connected to current and future IT leadership
challenges.
2. Useful - The content of the presentation contains useful information that can be put into practice
by IT leaders.
3. Engaging - The speaker engages the audience through the use of an essential question or
guiding story/case study that keeps the audience interested for a 45 minute session (or half/full-
day workshop)! The speakers vocal style and stage presence is confident, comfortable, natural -
sometimes humorous - and thought provoking.

What happens next?
Our Program Committee will assess the relevance of your submission based on current requests for

not your presentation has been accepted onto the 2017 agenda.
What do you need to submit?
Presentation title (10 words or less)
Brief presentation description (150 words or less)
Brief speaker bio (100 words or less)
Submission type: Session (45 min) Workshop (half or full-day)
Even if you’ve never presented before but feel as though you have a strong message and valuable
