It was great to see so many families, children and staff supporng our 4, 5 and 6 year olds. Again we have demonstrated success by working and ‘learning together’. On Tuesday night the Woodroffe Primary School Council met. They unanimously supported a trial of the amended Woodroffe Primary School Wellbeing and Behaviour Policy 2017. I am very excited as this is a result of the school’s percepon survey last year and represents the work of a staff/parent commiee who worked in consultaon with staff and council. Dear Families, What a fantastic time we all had at yesterday’s Early Achievement Centre Sports Evening. It was great to see so many families, children and staff supporting our 4, 5 and 6 year olds. Again we have demonstrated success by working and ‘learning together’. On Tuesday night the Woodroffe Primary School Council met. They unanimously supported a trial of the amended Woodroffe Primary School Wellbeing and Behaviour Policy 2017. I am very excited as this is a result of the school’s perception survey last year and represents the work of a staff/parent committee who worked in consultation with staff and council. If you would like to look over the policy you can find it on our website at; http://web.ntschools.net/w/woodroffeprimary/Policies/2017-Wellbeing-and-Behaviour-Policy.pdf. I take great PRIDE in announcing and acknowledging the teaching excellence of Miss Ashley Gillies who yesterday, formally, became a Highly Accomplished Certified Teacher. Congratulations on behalf of our school community. Two of our classroom teachers will be leaving us at the end of this semester. Ms Barbour, has accepted a part-time teaching position at Alawa Primary School and Mrs Mortimore, who is commencing her maternity leave. We wish them all the best of luck and eagerly await the arrival of Mrs Mortimore’s twins. I would also like to personally invite you to the launch of our Confucius Classroom this Wednesday. The timing of the launch (during school holidays) was due to when our very special and honoured guests were available. The Chinese Garden is almost ready and will be spectacular. I look forward to seeing you there. I thank everyone for a very rewarding semester and sincerely wish you all a safe, relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
