This term in Kindergarten we are celebrating families. We are learning to appreciate the unique
community that each family offers and celebrate its ability to enrich each of its members and in turn
strengthen the wider community.
We are also learning about Jesus’ family and how we are a part of God’s family. We will reads stories
about Jesus’ childhood to help the children relate to and know more about Him. The story of Jesus
being lost in the temple provides the opportunity to discuss how families provide a sense of security
and belonging, many children can relate to the feeling of being lost!
Celebrations are an important part of family life and by reflecting on the times families come together
to celebrate important occasions highlights how families love and support each other.
Kindergarten has embraced the daily routine of saying ‘The Angelus’. While we may not understand
all the words we are deepening our understanding of prayer as a time of reflection and reverence. We
continue with our morning prayer and enjoy singing as a form of expressing our love for God.
