Hardcopy or digital? That is the question!
It has been six months since we’ve ‘gone digital’ with our newsletter. We were
wondering: what do you think? Which mode do you prefer? Please take two minutes

Those who Read, Succeed
According to Albert Einstein – “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them
fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
Even 70 years ago, Albert Einstein knew the value of reading. It is a crucial element of
every child’s education. Reading is essential for children to become successful in school
and in their journey through life.
Here are some reasons why you should encourage your child to read:
Improves concentration
Improves memory
Brain Exercise
Boost Critical Thinking Skills
Develops Empathy
Develops and Expands Language skills
Enhances Imagination
Better performance in school
Develops a good self-image
Don’t forget our library is open Monday to Thursday during lunch time!

SCHOOL NEWS RAP Parent Teacher Interviews
Riverina Access Partnership Parent and Teacher interviews will be
held on Wednesday 26th June (Week 9) via VC from the home
school.
Yr 11/12 students and their parents will receive their reports at
the end of Week 7 and are invited to book an interview with co-
ordinating teachers through the RAP Parent Portal by the end of
Week 8 (21st June). A letter will go home with a unique "key" and
instructions for each family to log on to the RAP Parent Portal.
Because of organisational constraints, late bookings cannot be
accepted.
RAP parent / teacher interviews will be held from 3.40pm to
6.30pm on Wednesday 26th June (Week 9) for those parents who
have booked and times will be strictly 10 minute interviews.
Students are encouraged to attend and assist their parent to link
in via VC in the same way that they usually join their VC lessons. A
dial-in VMR number will be allocated to each interview and the In-
School Access Co-ordinator will have a copy of these and the
assigned rooms.
Parents are encouraged to use this opportunity to meet co-
ordinating teachers and discuss their child's progress, using the
technology RAP students use on a daily basis.

Sharing Secondary Learning
Secondary students joined together for an assembly to share some of the projects they have been working on and to recognise the achievements of fellow peers. Students gave presentations on a range of things that they have been working on throughout the year, such as senior Independent Research Projects, Agriculture excursions to develop industry knowledge, metal work projects and an update on current SRC projects.

Project Based Learning
Open Classrooms What is Project Based Learning (ProBL)? ProBL is a teaching and learning method where
students gain knowledge and skill by investigating and responding to an engaging and
complex question for an extended period of time. Both the staff and students have thoroughly
enjoyed their units.
Join us on Thursday 20th June!
11.15am Primary's Parents Assembly in the Library followed by our open classrooms.
K Our youngest students have spent the term investigating that everyone’s family
is unique. Come and explore what people make up different families, our homes
and how they are different around the world. We are excited to show you our
family treasures.
Year 1 will be presenting a journey through space! A fact
wall on each planet, the earth and its layers, artworks and students projects.
We look forward to showing you the experts we have become about everything
outer space!!!
Year 2 have had a busy term investigating the importance of insects to our
environment. Come along to our classroom to have a close up look at insects
under the microscopes, hear about the importance of food webs and food chains,
read information reports on a range of insects, view our art farms and appreciate
our wonderful artworks.
Year 3/4 have been busy this term investigating the STEMSHARE
equipment. Students have taken on the challenge to learn how to code
using Scratch, an online visual coding platform and exploring the ins
and outs of the Makey Makey kit. They can now set them up with the
coding platform to make musical sounds using a variety of conductive
materials. The class is very engaged and enjoying their technology time
during this unit. We look forward to seeing you all at our open classroom to have a play on their
creations and share their knowledge.
Year 5/6 have been researching robotics and how robots are used in various places. We have also been
learning about coding lego robots. During our open day, 5/6 will be coding and racing lego robots
around a track. We will also have information reports written by our students for you to read about
how robots are used to make life easier.
Project-Based Learning
ProBL Home Learning Project
Students in year K-2 should be busy
working on their ProBL Home
Learning Projects. If you have any
questions please contact the
classroom teacher ASAP. Projects will
be shared during our ProBL open day
on the 20th June.
3-6 will be completing their project at
school.
