HOME READING CELEBRATION It’s almost the end of Term 3, which means Home Reading celebration is here! To qualify for the celebration, students should have read for at least 30 nights this term. The celebration will be held on Tuesday 24th September. Students will be rewarded with an exciting movie session and a serve of freshly popped popcorn and drinks! There will also be a lucky draw with one winner from each grade receiving a fantastic prize!
SAVE THE DATE Two important whole school events are coming up in Term
4 and we would love to see as many families as possible
attend. Please save the date for:
BPS Spelling Bee Finals – Tuesday November 12th (Week 5) Students will be learning a variety of tricky spelling words to compete against their classmates. The top representatives from each grade will be announced in
Week 3, and these students will move on to the whole school finals in Week 5, to be held in the library. More information to come!
Christmas Concert – Monday December 16th (Week 10), from 4:30pm onwards This year we will be holding an evening Christmas Concert for our families. Each class or grade will be working hard to perform a song for our audience and we would love to see families there to join in the festivities and support our students. It is an expectation that ALL students are to attend and perform at the concert. You are invited to set up your own BYO picnic dinner/rugs/camping chairs in Top Quad from 4:30pm, before the concert begins at 5pm. A note with further details will be sent home closer to the date.

PRESCHOOL CORNER
Preschool have been engaging in a weekly Masterclass
this term. Together, we explored different types of
recipes from savoury pizzas to delicious desserts. The
children also had the opportunity to share their cooking
with their families. For Father’s Day, the children have
made chocolate brownies to share with their dads. Our
Masterclass encourages children to be confident and
involved in their learning. Piaget believes that children
need to be able to see, touch, taste, smell and move the
things they are learning about. This is called concrete
learning.
We are now accepting Kindergarten and
Preschool enrolments for 2020. Enrolment
forms are available at the front office.
