Term 4, Week 1 8th October 2014
Quality education in a caring environment
Principal’s Report Welcome back to Term 4 to what should be a very busy and productive term for all students. Hopefully all students and staff are relaxed and ready to tackle the final term for 2014.
School Uniform The weather has been warming up and students should now be wearing their full summer uniform including black school shoes for both boys and girls. Please make sure that your child is dressed neatly and tidily at all times. Students are reminded to wear the correct school, sun-safe hats at all times during play. School hats are for sale at the front office for $10 if your student needs a new hat. The rule is no school-hat; you must play under the sheltered areas.
Breakfast Club Just a reminder a free breakfast program runs every morning in the Stephanie Alexander kitchen. Any student who would like to access this program is asked to be at school between the times of 8:45am and 9:00am where a healthy breakfast will
be served. Research shows that students concentrate better in the classroom after eating a good, healthy breakfast in the morning.
P&C Please be reminded that the next P&C meeting will be held tomorrow, 9th October in the school staffroom, commencing at 2:30pm. The P&C has much on their agenda for this meeting and welcome any new parents to be in attendance. I would also like to issue a general reminder about the P&C’s Black and Bling fundraiser on October 17th. Tickets can be purchased from the school or from the Hay Services Club.
Calendar A calendar of events for this term is enclosed in this newsletter. It is an 11 week term with students finishing their school year on Wednesday 17th December. Please note the important dates such as Presentation Day (16th December), Swimming School (24th
November – 5th December) and Year 6 Farewell (10th December).
Congratulations On behalf of the Hay Public School community, I would like to extend a congratulations and best wishes to Mr Robert Fajks and Miss Katie Sherman on their recent marriage during the school holidays.
Have an enjoyable term!
