SAT vs. ACT ACT questions tend to be more
straightforward SAT has a stronger emphasis on vocabulary ACT has a Science section while the SAT
does not ACT tests more advanced math concepts ACT Writing Test is optional on exam day,
but required by many schools SAT is broken up into more sections ACT is more of a “big picture” exam
