TERRIGAL VS OURIMBAH The Trojans will play their third consecutive Grand Final this weekend at Woy Woy Oval against Ourimbah running on at 3 pm. This is an incredibly proud moment for our Club, where we have the opportunity of securing three Premierships in a row. This will be no easy feat as Ourimbah have set the standards throughout the 2018 season, however, the Trojans have the players, the coaching and the passion to win this Grand Final. AB has led our Trojans from the front all year. Ethan was selected as the Country Hooker. Joey has recently

achieved 100 First Grade Games. Meaty has over 200 First Grade Games. Our pack with Popo, Mike, Jay and Jim and our support forwards will be ready to go. Our backs are led by Taka and Marc Koteczky two of the best players in Country Rugby Union, with Hirsty, Dylon and Sarg at full back, supported by our other backs team we also will have fire power from all over the ground. Expect this game to be outstanding. Terrigal will have to play their best match all year to win this Grand Final. We understand the mission in front of us. Our coaches will have this outstanding team ready to play. Now we need our Trojan supporters. Our team needs an army of supporters on the sideline to make sure we can give our players complete support on the ground. Ourimbah will be loud and aggressive. It will be a great day and one to remember. Our Club will be placing tents on the far side of the field for our members and there will be seating available in the grandstand. After the match we will be heading to Breakers County Club where we have a function room booked from 6 pm. There will be a thank you, congratulations and farewell for Chester on the night, we look forward to your support of this event. See you at the 2018 Grand Final. See you at Breakers! Go you Trojans!

After three years with the Terrigal Rugby Club, it is now time for the Trojans to say goodbye to Chester Scott, our First Grade Coach who has become a local champion. Chester and Debbie are moving to Mangonui in the North Island of New Zealand to take over the historic Mangonui Motel with the best views in New Zealand.
We wish Chester and Debbie all the best for their business venture, they are great people. We will be gathering at Breakers on Saturday after the Grand Final and it would be a good opportunity for anyone who wishes to say goodbye to Chester to catch him at this time. There will be a short speech to thank Chester. The change in culture and performance Chester has personally created for our Trojan Club is exceptional. Thank you Chester Scott.

REG DELANEY - GET BETTER SOON
Life Member, Country Life Member and Local hero, Reg Delaney has been struck down with ill health last week and is currently recuperating in Royal North Shore Hospital. Reg is in a lot of pain which no doubt he will work through.
The doctors won't keep this good man down! Our thoughts are with Reg, Marilyn and family. The Trojans wish Reg a speedy recovery.
LAST WEEKEND - WHAT A GAME! The mighty Trojan Firsts regrouped for last weekend’s match against Woy Woy and proved why they are worthy Grand Finalists running out 28-10. Woy Woy are a quality rugby side who are solid across the ground, so it was testimony to the structure and passion displayed by our Trojans to win in this fashion. This really was a forwards performance that laid the platform for the backs to score points. Every forward deserves a mention for their efforts in holding back the much larger Woy Woy pack. Marc Koteczky was a stand out in his role at 5/8 for the Trojans, receiving the Man of the Match Honours. Taka was always there taking the ball forward and Dan Sargent played a very strong match from

the full back position. Congratulations Trojans, on your well earned Grand Final place. The entire Club wishes the Trojans First Grade all the best for your 2018 Grand Final.

LAST WEEK SECOND GRADE & RESPECT FROM THE SAVERS The Second Grade match up last weekend between the Trojans and Wamberal Savers proved to be everything that was promised, it was a great game of local rugby. The teams were tied together for most of the match. The Savers scored two quick tries after the break and then it was the Trojans scoring a try and coming back at them relentlessly up until full time. The game was played in the right spirit between the two Clubs and one I felt our Second Grade were unlucky to lose. Congratulations to the Wamberal Savers and best luck to your team in your Grand Final.

Many of our Trojans made banter with their Saver rugby mates. It was good to see the spirit between the two Clubs. Great Rugby. Good luck Savers, this weekend!

SAM MACDONALD Thank you to all our Trojan members, family, and friends who donated to Sam MacDonald's rehabilitation fund via our GoFundMe campaign. Sam suffered complications from a broken leg whilst playing for the Central Coast U16’s representative team in May this year.
The campaign was a great success raising almost $3000 towards Sam’s medical expenses and rehabilitation. Sam’s rehabilitation is continuing well and he is now off crutches and making further progress with physiotherapy.
