Weinland Park is located in a poverty strickenarea of Columbus in which medical care isdifficult to fine. Out task for the project was tocreate a pre-natal care clinic that would alsohelp with another aspect of child raising. In mydesign, in addition to the clinic, I added agarden and teach center so that when a childis born the parents have the knowledge andmeans of getting fresh fruits and vegetables.The garden area of the project is made of a wood grid where the spaces within can beoccupied by wood boards for walking, plants,or grass. These spaces change through out thetime of year based on weather conditions andneed by the community. By doing this, the pathto the building and the visual appearance isconstantly changing, stimulating the visitors.Along with the grid of planters, the building ismade from reclaimed wood in the neighborhood,collects rainwater, and has a green roof made from the planters. These aspects allow the buildingto stay more cost effective and green
